My wife and I stayed in the BBQueen during the summer, and we loved it. We were a bit apprehensive about the location, being so close to the Termini, but the area around BBQueen is fine. Julia provided us with a map and several suggestions for our stay. There were some great small takeaway restaurants nearby, and the courtyard within the B&B's front gate was very picturesque--this seems like a very romantic, Italian place. The property is exceedingly clean, breakfast was wonderful each morning, and everyone was friendly.
The only downsides were 1) the air conditioning is not your typical American air conditioning (at least it wasn't in our room, when we stayed in '11). It is more of a fan, and does not remove the moisture from the air; we experienced some pretty warm sleep, but when in Rome...2) the other downside is that this is a bit of a hike to the main Rome attractions, but we enjoyed the walk, and again, the Termini is nearby (though we didn't want to ride after dark). Those were small things (just so others are aware), and overall, I highly recommend the BBQueen. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

I had to do a lot of looking around to find BBqueen because I really wanted to stay in a small hotel in Rome and not a big chain hotel. Most of the B&Bs and small hotels seemed over priced and had bad reviews. This is what makes the BBQueen such a great find. First of all it's on a quiet street a short walk from Roma Termini and very close to a metro station, but we only used the metro once and just walked everywhere.

The rooms are clean and simple. There appear too be only three so it's not a busy place and Julia just gives you a set of keys so you can come and go as you please. The breakfast was simple continental, normal for Europe but they also had cereal and yogurt and of course capiccino!

Julia was really helpful, particularly with figuring out where to eat. It's amazing how difficult it is in Rome to find a good Italian restaurant, there's just so many tourist traps out there. She also took the time to really check around on the train situation, as we needed to get to our cruise ship.

Just got back from the BBQueen after a 4 night stay and we have had a great time. This B & B is superb, conveniently located a short walk away from the train station and piazza della rebubica / santa maria della vitoria. Everything is within easy reach either on foot or using the metro or bus. The room was very clean and very nicely decorated to a high standard.
Julia is an excellent host and her knowledge of the city is second to none. She is extremely helpful and made us feel like we were part of her family. Breakfast is traditional continental style and the croissants were excellent and still warm and fresh from the bakery.
As for a place to eat we actually found that the restaurant just next to the hotel (as recommended by Julia) was excellent. The food was great and the prices very reasonable.
We plan to visit rome again and I would definately stay at the BBQueen again.

Stayed here end of May en route to Florence. Felt safe. Excellent large bedroom. Sparklingly clean accommodation throughout. Good plumbing (always a plus!); Julia is awesome, she gave us so much advice and we even booked our Sistine chapel tickets in advance on her internet. Only three rooms and breakfast is in reception, but don't be put off - if you are first timers in Rome this is the place to be. Vatican City ... wow! Termini for tube/bus less than ten minutes walk .. but you can walk most of Rome anyway.

in the evening when you are dead on your feet head back to BB Queen and eat at Babbo's. Turn right out of BB Queen and cross over the street for excellent food, al fresco dining and reasonable prices for Rome

Would we go back to BB Queen? Without a doubt!

Julia is the owner of the three room BBQueen and truly is a new member of our family! This VERY CLEAN and perfectly furnished b&b is less than five blocks from Termini train station. The area of town is safe and the surrounding restaurants are excellent! Barbablu restorante (right next door) is family owned and over the top on their service - ask for Francesco - he is a doll!
We spent three nights here prior to taking a train to Tuscany. After a week in Tuscany we came back for another two nights. Julia was helpful in arranging our car service to and from the airport and right on with the restaurant suggestions that she made. The breakfast that she offered was delightful and well planned - she truly took care of us!
Without hesitation the BB Queen should be the number one bed and breakfast in Rome. The place is immaculate, the price is completely affordable and the service that Julia offers is totally unbeatable...And her English is perfect! My two young children (age 6 & 4) still talk about the care and friendship that was offered by her. My dream is for them to see the rest of the world, but we might have to go back to Rome in the near future just to stay here and see Julia again!
Give this place a try - you'll understand and you won't be disappointed!

We have just spent three nights in a very clean, very quiet and compact B&B.
Our hostess Julia was on hand to assist with directions and suggestions and great coffee for breakfast.
Easy walking distance to Termini and most things.
She is rightly very proud of the Tripadvisor Star rating certificate that has just arrived.
We will be back

We stayed here for one night before going on a cruise using two of her three rooms. The third room was not occupied so we had the place to ourselves after Julia left for the day. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the B&B is well located with restaurants nearby. My wife has problems with her knees so the walk to the metro station was a little further than we would have liked but the distance was no problem for the rest of us. A/C worked great. Julia is a wonderful hostess. We used her computer but had trouble finding the @ key. Have her show it to you before she leaves. We got a very early start in the morning so she put our breakfast in the refrigerator. The kitchen was very handy as a place to congregate, make a cup of coffee, store drinks, and have a light snack. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
