We spent three beautiful days in Rome - the suites at Mario de' Fiori 37 are like a home - perfect location at Piazza di Spagna, charming architecture and décor of the rooms and the staff is especially helpful and friendly. Ask Giuseppe for the most romanic places with the best view or for the restaurants with the most authenic Roman food. Anytime again!

Well located, clean, modern suite in the heart of chic Roma.
The Junior suite is 4/5 stars standard but do not expect any service! No breakfast facility in the hotel, we had to find a place outside. Recommandations for breakfast were poor: expensive places for tourists with no quality food in the area.
Apart from Giuseppe who took the time even in the middle of the night to provide nice roman addresses and kindly offered his help, don't expect too much from reception. Check out is at 11am and no one kindly reminds you of that before so that you are in a stress in the morning where going out for breakfast and crossing reception!!

Very pricey, a bit noisy with little service (apart Giuseppe again)...Not what you expect for this price...
Ah, also, they don't speak well english and the person at reception in the morning lacks discretion when it comes to paying the bill (he will tell the price loud so that your fiancé will find out as well !!)

Dear Mr Cédric,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel - we always appreciate our guest's feedback!
I was glad to read that you enjoyed the central location of our hotel and our clean and modern decor.
I was however upset to learn that we did not adequately communicate the details of our breakfast service where we give the option of an in-room breakfast, or a buffet breakfast on the rooftop of our sister hotel Babuino 181 which is just a few blocks away.
I will take up all your suggestions with our staff in order to improve our level of service.
I hope we will be able to greet you the next time you visit Rome.

Kind regards,

Great location, beautiful & comfortable room (junior suite) and wonderful concierge staff.

We started each day at the lovely rooftop terrace at the sister property on Babuino (a 5-minute walk) where we enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet. We spent most days wondering Rome on foot and were so happy that the hotel's location was central to everything - sights, the Borghese Gardens, shopping and restaurants. Even though it's located in an expensive area, we found great shopping just a couple of streets over (on Via Frattina), and there are many great bars and restaurants to choose from.
Returning each afternoon to our beautiful hotel room was a great. Some people say that your hotel room doesn't matter because you spend so little time in it, but we were so happy to return to Mario di Fiori to relax for a couple of hours in luxury and comfort. We especially loved the huge bathtub and the raindrop shower head.

The staff was very warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient and made our trip to Rome very special.

Room Tip: Our room faced Via della Croce, so there was sometimes a bit of noise early in the mornings. We'...

We found this little gem on Tripadvisor and, not knowing Rome at all, we were drawn to this by the references to its location - a very old building in such a lovely area! The owner had made a fantastic little booklet of local shops and restaurants that he recommended - we followed his advice and had the most delicious meals, both for dinner and breakfast! Having a Nespresso machine in the room is fantastic, comfy bed, lovely linen, huge windows overlooking the street, all very simply stylish and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the studio suite on the first floor from May 20-23, and have nothing but good things to say about this boutique hotel. The location is a three-minute walk from the metro stop at the Spanish Steps. There is great shopping, both high-end and mid-priced at your doorstep and no lack of fantastic eating places at every turn you take. The studio suite was spacious unlike the small poky rooms we've experienced elsewhere in Italy and the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast wasn't included but it didn't matter as we stocked up on fruits and yoghurt from the nearby Carrefour supermarket and there was a Nespresso coffee maker in the room. There was some street noise at night because of the restaurants and bars but it didn't bother us at all and I slept like a log on the comfy mattress; it was more bouncy than I am used to but I can't complain. Oh and by the way, do have dinner at wonderfully atmospheric Osteria Margutta (the spaghetti vongole is to die for) and IL Margutta Vegetariano; the latter is a veggie place and even though we're not vegetarians the food is sooooo good you won't miss your meat or fish at all. We did the usual sightseeing trips in Rome but if you're a foodie, don't miss out on the Taste of Testacchio tour run by Eating Italy (http://www.eatingitalyfoodtours.com). We had a fantastic guide by the name of Alexandria and the four hours we spent with her in the Testaccio neighbourhood was one of the highlights of our Roman holiday.

Have just spent a few nights at this fantastic boutique hotel.
Location is perfect - close to many places for breakfast lunch and dinner. Also in the heart of the luxury shopping precinct
Staff were all very helpful.. Especially Allegra who offers quality service and recommendations well tailored to your demographic.

All in all the stay was pretty much perfect. Only a few minor issues which aren't worth mentioning
Staff informed we couldn't drink the tap water and there were no free bottles as you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind words about your stay with us! I’m happy to hear our staff, and in particular Allegra, provided great service and recommendations. I am however apologetic we did not adequately communicate with you about Rome’s tap water, which is perfectly safe to drink. I will discuss this with my staff in order to prevent confusion in the future. We hope to welcome you the next time you’re in Rome.

Spent 4 nights at the Mario de Fiori with my girlfriend. The room was spacious and the bathroom even more so with a large bathtub and a separate shower. As many have mentioned, the location is excellent. One could keep in mind though that the area is very crowded, especially during festivities (such as the new year when we stayed there). We were first a bit worried that the buzz from the streets outside might be disturbing, but it wore off later at night. The bed was also very comfortable, providing great sleep quality. Overall we loved our stay and it always felt good coming back to the room after walking the rainy streets of Rome.
