Amazing stay!!! Cant say enough positive things about Frank, he took the time to show us on a map all the must do's in Roma, allowed us to leave our luggage in a secure location since we arrived so early, and even found us a link for tickets to the sold out Stones concert and made a reservation for us at a wonderful restaurant for our last dinner in town. If the weather is nice be sure to see if you can use the roof top terrance, what a great location. Frank thanks again for a top notch experience, the loft was perfect for the two of us and couldnt have asked for a better experience, see you in a few years!

Room Tip: If the weather is nice be sure to see if you can use the roof top terrance, what a great location.

We stayed at Frank's house twice while in Italy. The first time was for 5 nights in the room with the ensuite bath and terrace. The room was exactly as described and very comfortable. The apartment is within walking distance to all of the major sites in Rome, close to Termini and to the Metro line. It was nice coming home to Frank's apartment after long days sightseeing. When we first arrived we rang the bell to Frank's but no one responded. The door was open so we walked up to knock on the door, again no response. Coming back down the stairs we actually ran into Frank as he was having his morning coffee (he lives on another floor) which was really fortunate as we didn't have a phone to call the guesthouse or internet to email. (Side note: spring for a sim card. I would if I had it to do again) Frank took us up to the guest house and spent half an hour or so showing us interesting places on the map, places to eat, etc. He had some great restaurant recommendations but one of our favorite spots right around the corner was actually Tempio di Mecenate. It was really helpful to have Frank sit down with us and go over the map. Frank was super responsive anytime we needed him during our stay. He will call and make dinner or gallery reservations. He really was a fabulous host. When we came back through Rome to catch a flight back to the states we stayed one night in another room that's actually part of Frank's apartment. The room was nice. Note that there is no TV in that room but we didn't need it anyway. The bath for this room was in the hall but that wasn't a problem either. I think I actually liked this bathroom better but really enjoyed the terrace with the other room. All in all it was a great experience. We did have the same issue with the bell and not being able to get in (a neighbor let us in the second time) when we came back through Rome. Again we went up to Frank's and he checked us in, but other than that no real issues. Thanks again for a fantastic stay Frank!

We stayed at Frank's house on 31 Mar - April 2. It's about 8-min walk from Termini Station, with luggage, probably 10-min. From Fiumicino Airport, there are a number of airport coaches which take you to Termini, and very convenient. We took the Terravision, with Frank's recommendation. There is another Metro station which is nearer Frank's House but we commuted via Termini Metro most of the time. On 31 Mar, Frank waited for us to check in, gave us maps and showed us our location in relation to the historical sites/places of interest and also the good eateries which we should not miss. As we checked ourselves into the Artist's Loft unit, we seemed to have a "home" to return to every evening, after our adventure in Rome. The Loft unit came with a fully-equipped kitchen & we were surprised to see a washing machine in the unit too (though we didn't use it). The Loft unit was clean and Frank pampered us with DOVE toilettries which we put to good use as our skin was not used to the dry weather as Singapore is humid. The entire apartment comprises 3 rooms and there is an elevator that leads us to it. Tastefully-done-up apartment with a cosy feel. Drinks and fruit are easily-available in shops next to Frank's house, a supermarket which opens till 9pm and of course, the wet market. There is also a Chinese restaurant just next to Frank's House. We tried the pizzas at the eatery which Frank recommended (I can't remember its full name but it begins with the letter, "R") & by far, it was the best pizzas we had for our whole Italy trip. Frank spoke good English and his direction to places was very clear which saved us the headaches in searching for the quickest route to visit sites in Rome. One point to note: when returning to Frank's House at night, (i.e. from Termini Metro) a good route would be to walk alongside with the railway track(towards the supermarket which closes at 9pm), walk past the supermarket, cross the small road towards a concert hall with a small piazza(square) before it, & then back to Frank's House as the other routes may be a little too dim at night.

Just stayed here with a friend of mine. Was an excellent base for exploring Rome, very central and easy to get just about anywhere. The accommodation itself was perfectly suitable for us: The room was very large with a very comfortable mattress and seating area, and it was all very clean. The room also had a great ensuite bathroom and a small private balcony. Frank was also a great host and just helped us out with so many things. The quality price ratio was excellent, and we would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Frank gave us a great off-season rate for what turns out was a perfectly comfortable and very pleasant stay. The room was spacious and cozy, and had all of the amenities that we needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom, though external the room, was absolutely private and impeccably clean. Frank's local insight and advise was also much appreciated. I'd highly recommend this place to family and friends, and would be happy to stay here again next time we're in Rome.

A well-priced, very clean and sentral accomodation in the middle of Rome. Short walk to several of the most famous attractions, shops and restaurants. I always arrive in Rome by train and it is a ten minutes walk from the train station. Very convenient! I return to Frank's House whenever I visit Rome, I can not find any reason why I should not. Frank is very helpful and kind, points out the very best places to eat and give the information needed to make your stay as good as possible. Higly recommended!
