Great location, near to buses or train stops. Hotel exactly what you need, clean, polite staff. Staff helped us out with detailing the places to see with a free map. Breakfast adequate, croissant and coffee weekdays (usual Italian breakfast), weekends more variety..eggs, croissant, coffee, juice, bread, cereal. Hair dryer and towels in room, don't bring any. Plus where the hotel is there are plenty of restaurants that are cheaper than nearer to main sights. 6 euro for 1L of wine!
Overall nice staff and couldn't do enough to help you.

Room Tip: Hotel situated on 5th and 3rd floor, we stayed on the 3rd.

We looked for room's and all of them are over priced. The rooms are clean and are on the 3&5 floors. If you want a room for its location and at a great price then this hotel clicks the box. The staff work really hard and helped us to get around the city with great directions and helpful tips. They all have on suite showers which we found some hotels don't even have. Really enjoyed are stay.

Staff was nice and the room was clean but we didn't Enjoy the place. You can hear other people like if they were in your room, there was an unpleasant smell in the room and I think some works need to be done!

Dear Guest,
There’s always room for improvement and we are open to suggestions by customers, but with your review you didn’t help us that much as you didn’t specify which “works need to be done”, making it quite impossible for us to read your mind. Feedbacks are very important in our work: the more specific they are, the best for future guests. Sorry to read you were annoyed by the smell of the cleaning detergents ( bleach and ammonia) used to clean and sterilize your room, we had air freshener at the reception. Unfortunately, there’s not that much we can do about the behavior of other guests, more than explain them basic rules of civil cohabitation at the moment of Check-In. Regardless if you’re in a 5 star hotel or a B&B, it can always happen to be next door with loud and disrespectful guests who don’t take into any consideration others’ feelings. Luckily such kind of complains rare, thanks to our wonderful and priceless guests. Glad to read you enjoyed your room and the staff, we are waiting for you with open arms to show you the improvement we made since your stayed with us.

This hotel is situated just outside the old city wall and can easily be reached by bus from several places in the old city. A subway station is also within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room looked luxurious, but was a bit old and sometimes needed repair. (these were done quickly). Drawbacks: the curtains were too small to be closed for the night and the beds were rather hard. So if you can put up with this, this hotel is a good place to stay at for a few days. Breakfast was in a bar outside the hotel: only nice if you have a sweet tooth, but very kind staff.

We decide to have a real Italian experience in Rome, therefore we booked at the Cesar B and B , we got a simple but comfortable bedroom, always clean and super nice people looking after you. The hotel is located just at the Porta Pia, with a bus stop with 6 different buses just downstairs. Termini train and subway station is at 10-15 minutes in bus, that makes you able to travel to anywhere in the city or to other towns.
Many cafes and restaurants in the area, a supermarket just across the street, and a farmer's market is also close.
My wife and I had a very good time in Rome, we recommend this place for people who are looking for a safe and clean place to sleep and a convenient location with easy access to the public transport.

I seldom write hotel review unless the hotel service meets extremes (the best / the worst) It was absolutely an unpleasant experience staying in there at Easter 2014.
Read the following and decide if you like to stay here.

1. the room smells so bad
2. the smell of mattress is even worse
3. room making-up isn’t everyday (every two days)
4. towels are not changed everyday
5. no bin in the room
6. they charge you 5 euros for looking after luggage after 1pm (the check out time is 10am)
7. breakfast time is changed without advance notice (as a traveller, do you think breakfast starting at 8am is proper/reasonable/acceptable? I guess there is already a queue at Vatican museum by 8am, agree?)
8. food in the fridge was not wrapped and some were look just like leftover
9. sometimes, you need to go to a café nearby for breakfast, they give you a croissant and a cup of coffee
10. loud machine noise didn’t allow you a good sleep
11. don’t be surprised if you find the reception closed, maybe you need to ring the bell. But I am not sure if it works Well…I think, just spend a bit more money and find the other hotels which are more committed to guarantee a nice morning, nice service but less hustle in Rome. You don’t want to ruin your holiday, do you?

Dear Guest,
So bad you found such an unpleasant smell, most likely caused by the strong detergents (such as bleach, ammonia and similar) used in order to provide you a clean and sterilized space and to keep it like that during your stay. We do have air freshener at the reception. Also, every room as a bin in the toilet, we are honestly surprised to hear you didn’t find one in yours and didn’t ask for replacement. At the moment of Check-In we always inform our guests that the towels will be change every two days, while the cleaning will happen daily. We can ensure you we follow the same procedure for every guest and in your peculiar case seems like some information got lost, most likely due to time-wise issues (a Check In the evening maybe?). Lately, we served breakfast in the building only on Sundays, and we buy fresh food the previous day with no need to storage anything in the fridge for the days to come. From Monday to Saturday, breakfast is available at a partner Cafeteria just around the corner. Unluckily, at the Vatican museum there’s a perpetual queue, regardless the time you have meals. Finally, luggage storage is an additional service that we provide to facilitate our guests in their last day in the city. This implies that our team is taking responsibility to look after your items, and it’s common to ask for a fee. Do you know that in Termini train station the fee is 6€ per luggage for 5 hours? Instead, we offer 2 hours for free and then 5€ for the rest of the day regardless how many bags you have. Isn’t it cheaper?
We took notes of every complain you listed above and we are happy to say that none of them is an issue anymore in our Guesthouse. Hopefully you’ll visit us again to see it yourself!
