The hotel is in a "Red light" district, some distance away from the nearest Metro terminus. We found a distinct lack of places to eat at night other than the odd cafe/bar style food. There was a recommended place next door however most of the menu was crossed off & priced high. The "free" mini shuttle bus to the metro was charged for on the final bill!! We found the sights of Rome wonderful ...but watch out for "pickpockets" we were robbed of my wallet cash & cards, police said it is common. Taxi drivers say they have no meters & charge almost twice the proper fee to tourists. Be prepared to queue for 2-3 hours to see the Vatican which is miles away from the hotel. Overall the hotel is in an industrial area well away from the centre of Rome so most of the day is spent traveling to & fro on filthy overcrowded graffiti smitten underground systems .
On the positive side the most helpful member of staff being the multi lingual barman who was so helpful & knowledgeable (Diran)
We would not return to such an out of town place, our nights were spoiled not being able to enjoy evenings in Rome!!!
We did loose some clothes too? & if late to your breakfast 8-30am no orange juice or bread left. (breakfast opens & closes 6.30 -10 am)

Room Tip: No good for tourists

Domidea is an immaculately clean, quiet hotel with a lovely staff that will do anything to help you out, including arranging taxi service to and from the airport. This is located on the GRA ( beltway) so you will need to find transportation to get to the tourist sites in Rome proper. It is convenient to train and bus service into the downtown, although you might want to practice your Italian a bit. We come for other reasons and find the hotel convenient for our particular needs and do not mind occasionally finding a way into the downtown. We love the cleanliness and friendliness but if you expect to be right in the heart of Rome, this will not be your place.

This is a modern, very nice hotel but is far removed from most of what you want to see in Rome. I'll base my comparison of this hotel on the American hotels I frequent but that will not figure into the ratings. It's just so that those in America planning a trip have some idea what to expect.
I stayed here in March and it was the first hotel my wife and I stayed in of the 4 throughout Italy and this was my favorite based solely on the hotel room. The room was large, like suite large, with a nice sitting area, fairly large bathroom with a great shower, nice bed (although a bit hard for the wifes taste), free wi-fi that you could access in the room and the only hotel that allowed us to set the air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was typical continental for Italy which was prociutto, cheese, bread, and a wide selection of pastry, cake and fruit. Do not expect eggs because none of the hotels provided any type of eggs. There was also american style coffee, espresso, cappucino, hot chocolate and a variety of juices and the sitting area for breakfast was large enough to sit 40 people. There was also a small bar area that had hot food at the front of the hotel but I didn't explore that at all so besides telling you it's there I can't provide much. The staff was friendly and efficient, not overly so but not mechanical either. The worst part of this hotel was the location as it's about 30 min or more drive time from the sights in Rome and the Vatican.

Hotel was a little off the beaten path but was otherwise great. Breakfast was great for a continental breakfast. Room was large but otherwise very modern. Wifi worked great! Highly recommend as long as you have transportation into the city accounted for.

This hotel is very unique, every room is different.. even a different size. It is super clean and the staff is very attending and friendly. The cleaning staff is superb and so is the breakfast crew lead by the very accommodating Andreea Costas. Breakfast is included from 7am until 10am. The only problem is the hotel is located on the northeast fringe of Rome. There is a shuttle which will take you to to the subway station at Tiburtina and from there you can get to any attraction in Rome. The last trip at night to the subway station is 10:30pm. A small train station is also located around the corner a few blocks up underground called Tor Sappienza(Tower of Angels) which you can look up on line(search: trenitalia site). There is a very reasonable grocery store called Deco next door and a wonderful restaurant right next door called Fils. Fil and his staff are amazing. He was a top chef in New York City for 10 years. Spent allot of time there and realy enjoyed it. In the beginning a few years ago it was all business people. Over the last year a lot of tourists. If you are not afraid of a bit of a trek and adventure this hotel is excellent and comes with a very economical price for Rome. Watch out it is sold out a lot now.

Room Tip: All rooms are unique and fun. I like it on the 4th floor

We spent a week here with family and it was a nice hotel, the room and breakfast were adequate, the shuttle service was useful when we discovered it but it was a fair distance from the nearest station and far from the city centre - not ideal for tourists.

I was 4 nights in this hotel. It is an OK hotel, everything worked as it should, exept the air condition in our room could not be turned off. The breakfast was OK, but I would expect more form a 4* hotel, like maybe some scrambled eggs or more vegetables.
The location is not ideal, but you can reach the last metro station in 5 minutes with the car or it takes a bit more with the bus. From there you need about 15 minutes to the Coloseum so it is not that bad.
And they don´t have own restaurant, but you can finde some nice restaurants not far away.
