Description: Crispi 19 is a cosy and romantic restaurant in the historical center of Rome, between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The Mediterranean Gourmet Cuisine is characterized by fresh seafood, with daily arrivals, traditional meat dishes and a great variety of vegetables all cooked with extra virgin olive oil and seasonal fruits. Bread, pasta, sauces, decorations and desserts are all homemade by our chef Fabio Mancuso with fresh products combining ancient recipes, traditional ingredients and imaginative innovations. In our wine cellar you can find the best labels of Italian wine and a wide selection of spirits. For the more demanding guests: lobsters, crab, shrimp and oysters, beautifully decorated raw fish, caviar and a fine selection of meat dishes.

Had a brilliant meal here, friendly staff who spoke very good English and explained each dish, every one of which was perfect. We just managed to squeeze in without a reservation mid-week, but would recommend booking!

What a find. With so many restaurants in Rome to choose from, you can get overwhelmed, this place is well worth a visit or 2. Had the 4 course tasting menu the first time, the cooking is exceptional, beautiful plates of food that taste exquisite. So good we went back a week later for a second night and was just as good. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the surroundings relaxing.

Read a lot of the reviews. Decided to go. Got seated in the front room with the fish tank. We had the choice to sit in one of the other two rooms but chose this one because there was still a nice day outside and we wanted to see daylight. The front room definitely does not feel elegant. Table clothes and all, but it still has the feeling of sitting in someone's house.

As for the food, we enjoyed everything we got, from starters to pasta to meat. Had a nice bottle of wine as well. Reasonable prices for everything (total bill was under 100€ for two diners.

Staff was wonderful. Attentive. Friendly. Accommodating. I'd go back.

We ate at this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel. It was highly rated and had a big variety of seafood something we enjoy! Although our Seabass and pasta meals were both delicious....the whole experience was not completely satisfying.
We were warmly welcomed when we first arrived and were given a wee appetizer to whet our appetite...but the rest of the service was unbelievably slow. We were a bit on the early side...and had lots of time, but even so perhaps things were just getting warmed up. The wine was very good...but everything seemed to take forever. The decor was unbelievable...straight out of the 60s with Formica tabletops and the fish tank right nearby...we didn't really mind except that it didn't go with the prices. Til much later when we discovered we were just sitting in the entryway with 5-6 other tables...several of which were occupied. But apparently there was another area behind the entryway..that we didn't get to see. It gave us the impression that there were two distinct sections to the restaurant and we were in the part for the poor guests!
So what could have been a Spectacular meal and evening...turned out to be just so so!
