We arrived very late at night but found the street it was on quite easily. When you arrived on the outside it just looked like the front door to an apartment block. There were many buzzers and only a small standard buzzer sign that didnt really stand out from the rest but still it said what it needed to " Capitolium Rooms" so for a dumbo like me it was still fairly clear. The only criticism would be, why not have a standard business sign overhead or on the wall but i guess it doesn't really matter when the building numbers are clear enough to differentiate. You cannot walk into the place without pressing the buzzer to be let in over intercom, so very good security wise. The rooms were situated on the 2nd floor, accessed by a small and comical lift. Like something out of a Laurel and Hardy sketch. Open a set of double doors, then the lift door itself, get in ( I couldnt envisage more than 2 a time in there at once with 1 case each) shut the outer double doors and then the lift door itself again and away you go and then repeat the process on getting out again. I find it funny rather than irritating to be honest and it did its job and was fast enough, so no complaints just a pointer.
Now the room itself and the bathroom were really nice and quiet, as was the view out of the window overlooking some nice palm trees and a bit of a garden/square. Woke up as first light came and I thought it was beautiful. The room had everything one would need and everything just felt right and not over the top. Lovely furnishings, Satellite TV, 3 figure number of channels, although i think they were all Italian but I got tired going through after about a 100 which is a nice problem to have I guess, so not sure if there were any other languages. As for the bed, lovely and comfortable and as my stay was In January, the room wasn't stuffy. One plus also was there was a table to put your things down next to your bed and could control the light from your bed, a novelty for me, so perfect. Bathroom was lovely, clean, modern and was very impressed with Shower, number of towels left, soap. Excellent standard all round.
Finally, we told the young lady on Reception who booked us in that we had to leave before breakfast, so we naturally thought, no breakfast, no problem. However she was very kind and went out of her way to give us some pastries and fruit in a basket, and they were very nice too. It was a lovely gesture.
So all in all, very impressed all round, great price if you go out of season and I would certainly like and choose to stay again when Next in Rome. Certainly recommend to couples, of all ages!

Room tip: Room 2 was very quiet if you want peace!

So glad we chose to stay in this old, classic place instead of a standard modern hotel. It was a very short walk to the main station terminal and the tourist buses. The room was on a floor in an old apartment building so there's no bar etc, but we were more than happy with that.It was quite basic with a shower/wet room not a bath but it (and the whole place) were kept spotlessly clean for the whole of our 5 day visit and we had an abundance of clean towels every day. The breakfast is very basic but perfectly adequate (toast, cereal, fruit, ham, cheese, eggs, pastries) and they were great about the fact that I am gluten free and bought me special milk and cookies. The staff are cheerful, helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. My only tiny negative would be that it would be lovely to have a kettle in the room to make hot drinks first and last thing. The room was large and spacious with very high ceilings and kept warm despite the cold temperatures outside. Also, beware the mini bar! We naively thought that the little fridge in the room (very handy) with a few soft drinks and a tin of beer was a welcome gift. Also a bottle of red and white wine on the top on a tray with a cork screw. We had no problem paying for these things but there was no indication anywhere that we would have to, or what the cost would be.
Overall we would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again, great value for money.

This hotel was lovely and well worth it for the price. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough for us. The staff are very courteous and friendly and always greeted us around the lobby. Valeria who I believe is the manager is very efficient both on email and in person if you have any issues or questions. The rooms are spacious enough, extremely clean and quite modern. I wish there was somewhere in the bathroom like a shower caddy to put our bath products as that was a little inconvenient.
Overall a great hotel and would definitely stay again if we come back.

This is not a hotel, but a floor of rooms in an old building. There is a lift. The owners are tremendously helpful and accommodating. The rooms are small, but quite ample and the furnishings and the view of the garden are beautiful and upscale. The bathroom was great and well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and much nicer than expected. I would stay here again for sure!! Oh, there are restaurants within walking distance in the safe embassy area.

This hotel is great for its price. The room is clean, spacious and airy. The window overlooks to a court yard with trees. There are three of us and yet we feel roomy. The complimentary breakfast is very good. Both Baola (may not have spelled name right) and the other lady at the front desk, as well as Francisco the housekeeper are very helpful and pleasant. Hotel is not too far from metro station. Will definitely come to stay if we return to Rome.
