“Cheap, clean, friendly”

It's a very cheap room so our expextations weren't high. But, it was clean and the staff was very friendly, eventhough they didn't speak english.
It was a bit difficult to find, it's located in a big block.
It's next to the station tiburtina, so tha's very convient. But the short walk is smelly because of the containers on the street and I wouldn't dare to walk there alone in the dark.
The breakfast is served in the room but it's not much.
Overall it was great price-quality!

I chose this host because it was very close to down town (only 3-4 metro train stops). And ofcourse because of the low cost. The first experiernce was the worst i have ever had. It was in an disappointing neighbourhood with to many homeless and drunk people all around. In addition you have to walk under a smelly bridge and a dirty road. The building was enormous very old hosting inside thousands of people. The central door was closed. After an hour and with useful help of an Italian woman, i found the owner and went inside. After this, all thing went better. The inside spaces were very clean, hospitable and modern decorated with new furniture. The bathroom was also newly rebuilt. The room had a big window allowing enough light isnide of the room, viewing at a big train station at a central road and at a small forest. The stay here was what exactly i am waiting for. Quiet, warm and rest just for a sleep and a bath after an all day tiring walk at the center of Rome and the sights. The breakfast was sufficient just to start your day.

Room Tip: If you aren't scary of the way to approach Titina BB, i recommend it for a very economical choic...

I travelled with a friend around Europe and we stayed at Titina for 3 nights to explore Rome. After finding it (which was a little confusing, but it was closer to the metro than we thought) we were delighted with the cleanliness and look of the room, and we felt very safe there and well taken care of.

PROS:

1. Titina - she's nice. However, she can only say, maybe 10 english words? Communication is going to be fun and interesting. We are reasonable enough not to expect all the foreigners to be able to speak english. However, there has to be a more efficient means of communication when you are in the hospitality business, right?

2. Location - It's a walking distance to the Roma Tiburtina station. We chose this primarily for that reason because we had to take a bus at 3am in the morning to go to Fiumicino.

3. En Suite toilet and bath - ok, water sealing problems but nevertheless manageable. (hey, we didn't pay 5 stars so we are reasonable).

CONS
1. Neighborhood - looks scary! I felt like I was going to be mobbed anytime. Luckily nothing happened. It's just a little paranoia from me.

2. Hot shower - the most it can get is lukewarm, but definitely not hot. And not consistently (now its lukewarm, then its slightly cold alternatively).

Overall - just ok. Can do for overnight.

ADDITIONAL TIP:
You can book this hotel if, like us, you have an early flight from Rome Fiumicino (ours was 6am). There is a COTRAL bus that departs early in the morning at the bus terminal just across the Roma Tiburtina Station. (http://www.cotralspa.it/ENG/PDF_Orari_Comune/_Aeroporto_di_Fiumicino.pdf) We thought this was better than sleeping at Fiumicino.
