I gelati a roma sono in genere molto buoni, tranne in questo caffe' che si fregia pure di aver l'eredità del gelato Fassi che invece è una famosa cremeria......
please do not try ice crems there is one of the worst in the city I took melon and it was iceed and zabajone was also tasteless

Lovely place! Coffee good too, not best, but good. Staff were highlight, very friendly and accommodating.

My wife, two daughters, and I found this cafe through Trip Advisor after a visit to the Borghese Gallery. We needed a simple place for lunch and the Caffè Fassino was the perfect answer. It is a short, 15 minute walk from the Gallery.

The sandwiches were fair, but the cappuccini were excellent.

The best part of the visit, though, was talking with Fabio, the kind young man who works there. He is working on his English and speaks extremely well. He introduced us to granita, which is a flavorful Italian treat of pure frozen fruit (and a little, OK, more than a little, sugar). We had the lemon, the melon and the watermelon; they were all excellent, but the watermelon and lemon are perfect on a hot summer day. It was worth the visit to talk to Fabio and try the granita.

The cafe is very clean and comfortable and the whole family enjoyed our time there before heading out to the Colosseum and the Forum via the Metro, which is about six blocks from the cafe. Thanks Fabio!

Good coffe, but the cakes and tarts was only average. It's ok for coffee and a cake but nothing special.
