“A room with a view . . .”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

After a long train ride from Florence to Rome, I was greeted late at night by friendly staff and efficient service. I was surprised and happy to receive an upgraded room to a suite, which also had a slight view of the Vatican, along with a balcony. That was amazing!
The room was comfortable, modern, clean and everything is in working order. The restaurant was great, the food was delicious and I had excellent and attentive service at 11pm! As a woman travelling alone, it was a very good experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms to the back are quieter, but rooms to the front have a better view and are sunny.

Quite simply the best priced hotel we could find close to the centre-ish of Rome at a fantastic price.

When we finally arrived (thanks to painful baggage handling at the airport) we checked in and headed up to the room. It was small, but not so small as to be impractical, complete with the generic in room safe, TV lumped on the wall and air conditioning. The bathroom is partially walled by very dark glass, and for those who are concerned no locks in the door. That said, when it's only the two of you it would be impressive if you couldn't work out that the other person was there.

The bed's are quite hard, but we both like it that way, although the pillows are painfully anaemic. There are additional ones in the wardrobe, but even then they seem to be a bit lacking. Rooms were cleaned daily and well, although toiletries and bits didn't seem to be replaced with any degree of regularity. The minibar prices were also surprisingly reasonable.

Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, some mornings the scrambled eggs were stone cold, but the pastries were very good and the fruit cocktail, though clearly tinned went down well. We also had sandwiches there one day for lunch which were tasty and a good price. The restaurant served us well the first night, although a larger party had numerous complaints. There's plenty of decent options a short walk away which should be explored, but then the same goes for most city hotel restaurants.

All in all, reasonably priced with good service, however it would be helpful when checking in if you were told about the tourist tax so it didn't take you by surprise when leaving.

Hotel was pretty much chosen at random but along with my 5 friends had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Rooms modern and comfortable, super bathrooms -hair drier could have been better.
Breakfast more than adequate and the owners wife made the most incredible cakes, which he kept bringing for us to try. Would definitely stay here again especially if travelling alone, as close to Metro and sights.
Stay only spoiled by president obama's visit to the coliseum which meant it was closed all afternoon to the paying public and we had to miss out .....still threw my coin in the trevi fountain so expect another visit to the twenty one .

Room Tip: Upgrade to the deluxe if possible excellent views from the spacious balconies

We stayed here 5 nights are were a party of 6.One of the rooms was the double balcony facing the Vatican with a double balcony-Very large and amazing.Rooms very clean and quite at back of hotel. Breakfast good and we ate at local restaurants. We became frustrated about service charges and paid 10 euros for a coffee near Vatican.Chinese down road across road good.Ice Cream Parlour across road brill as well as coffee shop. We found places to eat quite expensive.

Metro stop 10 mins away and handy for sight seeing as well as 20 mins walk to Vatican. We used tour bus as well which was good.Expect lots of walking and map use.......Amazing buildings around.

Roberto-Manager at restaurant wonderful and family run. Compared to local coffee shops prices reasonable.......Fantastic service and reception staff amazing-asked lots of questions and so helpfull.

We had a wonderful time in Rome.......Thank you to all the staff.........

Room Tip: Quieter rooms at back of hotel......

We were very happy here--not close to everything but also far enough away to be within 20 min walk of most. Service at desk was exceptional. We had terrible service at the restaurant and I would not recommend for anything but breakfast.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights, it was absolutely amazing. Our room was the perfect size and it was throughly cleaned each day. The staff were incredible and very friendly. The staff all spoke brilliant english and would do their very best to help you out. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel is also in a very good position to walk to different places. It was our first time to Rome, and we will most definately be returning and staying at this hotel again. 5 Stars from me :)

Room Tip: Next time we would upgrade our room, purely because there is a hot tub :)

You could not pay me to stay here again. We have traveled all over and this was the worst hotel for the money we have ever stayed in. The room is a shoe box. I am not claustrophobic, but having spent 3 days at this hotel made me become one! I would rather have stayed at ANY other hotel. The pictures online are deceiving. Beware, do not stay here!
