“Amazing, fantastic hosts and a lovely home”
Reviewed 30 June 2011 for a stay in May 2011

Was looking for a nice place to accommodate 5 people in Rome and came across Minerva. Rates were really affordable and location seems good, thus decided to go ahead and book the place. The pictures on their website does not justice to the actual place! The owners, Mary and Wolfgang are the dearest hosts you can ever find. They made the effort to run us through the whole place.

Initially, upon reaching the apartment block, was kind of skeptical about how the place will turn out, as the lift of the building was really old-school, those kind that you see in the 1950s' movies, but upon opening the doors to the apartment, it was like going into a different world. Wolfgang, being an industrial designer, actually designed and renovated the place himself. Looking at the details of the apartment, you can see how much passion he have in his work. The place is beautiful! there is not a single thing which I can point out that is wrong with the place. It is clean and just pretty to look at. It comes with a nice jacuzzi bathtub, satellite TV and even free wifi. Location is not bad, as it is a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro.

Could not have had a better/ more value for money place to stay in in Rome. Right from the apartment itself down to the friendliness of the owners, this is truly one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed in.

“Beautiful, spacious, updated apartment.”
Reviewed 12 June 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We recently returned from our vacation in Rome which included four nights at the Minerva Apartment and we found it to be a very enjoyable place to stay. It was beautifully remodeled, spacious and clean. Everything we needed was included along with a few thoughtful extras such as milk in the refrigerator for our use when we arrived. Mary Therese made booking the apartment easy and provided lots of helpful information. She also responded quickly by email each time we had a question. She even helped us find a soccer match to see while we were in Rome. Wolfango did a great job of showing us all of the features of the apartment when we checked in. The bathroom was the biggest treat with two sinks, a large tub/shower, a clothes washing machine and lots of space. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment; there was a cook top, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans. Yet with all of the many great restaurants nearby, we only ate breakfast in the apartment. The apartment included two TV’s with satellite cable and Wi-Fi that was very simple and worked perfectly. There was an elevator for easy access. The tourist attractions were a little far for walking so we used the subway and buses which were all convenient to catch from the apartment. We enjoyed the grocery store right across the street and also enjoyed getting away from the tourist crowds when we returned to the apartment each evening. Another plus for being away from the busy tourist areas was the nearby restaurants. We found the food and prices to be superior to many of the restaurants in the busy tourist locations. As an added treat, the oldest gelato shop in Rome is located across the street and down one block from the apartment; it was worth the wait!

“We enjoyed our stay very much.”
Reviewed 8 June 2011 for a stay in May 2011

A very spacious 2-bedroom apartment at a reasonable price. Mary and Wolfango are extremely helpful hosts. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is a bit out of the way of the main tourist attractions, but the Metro stop isn't far and the major bus routes are only a bit further away. On the plus side, there's a supermarket right across the street, and the tram outside will take you to the train station in just a few minutes. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and the apartment has a full kitchen if you want to prepare your meals at home. In sum, if you're the type who likes to be right in the middle of the tourist action this isn't the place for you, but if you don't mind being a bit off the beaten track this is a great value.

“No regret in staying with Minerva Apartment”
Reviewed 29 May 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We loved Minerva apartment! It has everything that we need. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, reasonable price and most importantly friendly and welcoming owners, Mary and Wolfango, where you can't find in hotels. I will absoutely recommend Minvera to everyone visiting Rome. It's the best apartment that we have stayed during our trip to Europe. Thanks Mary!

Dear Randi,

Hello. Thank you for the nice review. We are glad that we were able to be of help, I have a tour manager license and should be one of those ladies one sees guiding around 50 people on a bus tour, however, I use my skills to run our rental here to the highest standards. We are glad that we could help when it was needed, really, this is our job and we love doing it, and meeting many new people through this, it is almost as good as traveling itself. Many thanks for the kind invitation, best wishes,

Mary Therese and Wolfango
