Tre R Bed & Breakfast

If we ever come back to Rome we will choose Tre R again. Andrea the owner is great and very helpful. This B&B is very clean and cosy. There is also little kitchen if you need one. With own keys it was easy to come and go. It was like your own apartmet. Location of Tre R wasn´t very central but we didn´t mind that; bus stop was near. Journey took only few minutes. Region was quiet, but not creepy . Very italian breakfast, croissant and coffee, was served nearby in cafe Bompiani. It was the place where all the locals drink their espressos, lovely. Excellent value for your money.

Room Tip: Rooms are alike as in official photos.

A great option to stay in Rome!!

- The rooms are very nice and clean.
- Excellent service.
- Close to a bus station where you can get to the main tourist attractions in 10-15 minutes.
- You get coupons for breakfast (delicious croissant and coffee).
- There is a small store in front of the street where you can purchase food and snacks.

We would definitely stay there again!!

We've already stayed 3 times at Andrea's B&B and I can highly recommend his B&B to anyone who is planning to visit Rome. The B&B is conveniently located outside the buzzing city center and is very well connected via Express bus (10-15 min.) or local bus. Most busses stop at tourist attractions such as Piazza Venezia, San Giovanni Laterano, the Vatican etc. It's a fairly short walk from the B&B to the bus stop.

The rooms are very spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated in a modern, simple design. Try to get one of the rooms facing the court yard in the back and you will sleep like a baby: no noise whatsoever! The AC in each room is a life-saver in summertime. The bathroom is top of the line modern and actually very spacious, too. The cleaning staff usually gets in after noon so that leaves you enough time to get ready without being rushed (after all, it's a vacation, right?!). The little refrigerator in the room is useful if you buy delicious treats from one of the Italian delicatessen stores on the block. For breakfast we enjoyed the truly Italian 'hustle & bustle' of the espresso bar next door (you will get coupons for your stay that can be redeemed there).

Andrea and his father, the owners, are running the B&B professionally and are always very helpful and friendly when it comes to questions, requests and/or comments. Andrea speaks very good English and can be best reached on his mobile phone; we forgot our breakfast coupons when we checked in, but had them ready for us before the end of the day after sending Andrea a quick SMS.

In my opinion this is the best place to stay when going to Rome. Actually, I'm already planning my next stay at the B&B....

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the courtyard in the back (I think it's Room 2 & 3)

The b&b is situated close to the city centre and easily accessible by local transport. It is only 10 - 15 minutes from the city centre depending on the traffic.
The room we had was large and decorated with modern furniture, it had an ensuite bathroom and large outside terrace. It was kept very clean and we had a very warm welcome at check-in from Andrea who runs the bed-and-breakfast.
Overall we were very much impressed with the quality of the bed-and-breakfast. Very good value for money.

I stayed recently -09.03-16.03.2012- at Tre R (in italian tre means three- R -Rental,Rooms,Rome) with my wife for 7 days. We were very confused and stressed in the beginning because we didnt went to Rome before. Andrea and his father (owners ) were the most helpful and pleasant hosts I have ever met, and our stay at their location was far more enjoyable that in any of the posh hotels we stayed at before. I highly recommend staying at Tre R if you come to Rome on holiday - the location is perfect for travelling to the centre and you will certainly enjoy the spirit of their home. This was a very good experience all round. A lovely warm welcome. We travelled from Romania to Ciampino Airport and "Terravision" bus from Ciampino stops in Termini Station. There are a lot of Bus station very close to the house. Shops nearby offer a range of services. Large and comfortable double with king-size bed in stylish family home. Private bathroom. Excellent transport links to City . Bus, underground and rail all within short walking distance.
Rooms are very clean and bathroom/ shower spotless everyday. The breakfast -consists in cappuccino and croissant- was good and the hosts very cheerful and helpful.

We communicated very well with the owner by email for the check-in. The rooms were quite big and beautifully arranged. The breakfast had a distinctive Italian touch and took place in a bar where the whole neighborhood came to take its expresso.

Unfortunately, there were also some downsides: we never actually saw the owner, but had to talk with his father, which did not speak English at all. The shower had a somewhat original (and malfunctioning) system. One of the lights in the bathroom did no go off from any of the switches. Also, the B&B is farther from the bus than advertised (10 minutes) and far from the city center (20-30 minutes by bus)

We tried to stay there both on the way to Asia and back. The first nights were booked online and everything went smooth. For the return, we booked through email. Initially the owner told us it was ok, then 24 hours before our arrival we received an email saying that he had received a 4 nights booking that he took and he sent us to another, vastly inferior B&B.

We read all the reviews about Tre R and was not disappointed. We were there for 8 nights and would have moved in if he let us!We didn't want to stay in the center of Rome because of all the noise. This was perfect for us. It is clean and modern. Recently renovated . Wifi throughout, TV in bedroom but why do you need one when in rome? There is a full kitchen if you so desire but you have your coffee in the morning across the street with the locals. The bus to go into center of rome is right in front of the B&B, its about 10-15 ride in depending on traffic. Other buses to various places are about 2 blocks away. You can take the bus to the metro but we rarely used the metro as the bus was convenient It was great coming back after a long day to a quiet neighborhood though if you want a little fun go across the street to the bar. We met great people there and had a blast and drinks/wine /beer 1/4 of the price it is in the center. There is also a little market next door and a restaurant on the corner next to where you can have your pastry and coffee.Andrea picked us up at the train station and showed us around the area before we went back to the B&B. Andrea and his father were very helpful! Very easy to get there from the airport as well, train FR1 to Roma ostiense station (about 8 euro and 30 minute ride then you find bus 716 in front of train station. It drops you right in front of B&B. If you don't mind riding the bus or taxi if you please, and you want to have the experience of staying in a great neighborhood in a modern ,clean, air-conditioned place,(it was hot when we were there) this is it! We also run so it was nice to run through the neighborhood and site see on the way. Thx Andrea we will be back.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet enough though if you are in room by front door you might hear people coming and...
