Booked this hotel as it was so close to Termini and, arriving on a late flight into Ciampino, it was cheap. I was only overnighting as was heading to Napoli the next morning so it was just really used as a place to sleep. Room was really small with no AC, just a fan and the bathroom was tiny, but it did have it's own bathroom which many cheaper hotels in Roma do not.

It was fine for the purpose I required and like I say, you get what you pay for. Average hotel

My daughters and I were very pleased with this hotel as it is 2 blocks from train station. Not sure how anyone could give this hotel a bad rating, but then, we did not go out late at night..... Two f the staff were VERY accommodating in suggestions and helping us to purchase tickets to Vatican. The ONLY negative is that there is NO airconditioning and can get a little muggy in the summer with the windows closed (necessary for quiet). :) Karen

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel.... NOT streetside!

A true nightmare. I believe that the good comments are fake. Sounds huge, impossible to sleep, prostitution under the hotel, bathroom filthy, pubic hair in the sheets. Sense of suffocation due to lack of clean air, they use spray to make it look breathable. Be attentive.

We hadn't booked a room for our last night in Rome, and knowing there might be rain, I booked this hotel for 66 Euro before we left Florence. We needed something close to the train station, just needed a place to sleep, get ready for a long travel day and Hotel Bergamo fit the bill. We met the desk clerk in the lobby so he directed us to the elevator and got us checked in. The room was clean and cheerful looking, it's small but serviceable.
The only negative is for the water temperature and pressure, the former was erratic and the latter - well I've had better water pressure in our camper! Ladies good luck getting the shampoo out of your hair completely!) No other issues.

Hotel was fine. Goof wifi. Staff very apathetic. To top it off, we accidentally left $100 USD in the room. No problem, we had paid with CC so thought we would call them and get them to use the cash to pay for the room and reimburse the CC.

Well we called them and after explaining where the money was, the staff member took the phone into the room, we heard some 'rustling around' and then the phone cut out. For some mysterious reason we couldn't call the hotel back after that. Go figure.

I stayed in the hotel just for one night because it was convenient from my late arrival at the airport. Hotel was nice close to the Termini station, a little bit hard to find especially in the night but for 30Euro which I payed it was comfortable, quiet, clean and I slept so well. The staff were very nice as well. The tip to pay only 2,70Euro total from the airport is to take the bus to Anagnina station from where there is a metro to the centre of Rome.

My husband and I just returned from a 6-day trip to Rome where we stayed at this nice hotel 2 blocks from Termini. We stayed in Room 40, which had a nice firm king-sized bed and bathroom. There was heating provided, but being northern Europeans, I'm afraid we ended up opening the windows at night as we are used to sleeping in a cold room. The room was cleaned very well each day and the bathroom was spotless and well supplied with towels and soap. Our only complaint would probably be that the water pressure was quite low in the shower, but the water itself was hot and the hair dryer certainly worked very well for a lady's longer hair. all of the staff we met spoke reasonable English and were very helpful.

On the down side (but which will not stop us from staying here again) is that perhaps the noise in the hall during the evening could be a bit much for some (the night clerk going back and forth to let in late night visitors) and as room 40 faces the street, it could be too noisy for some, but we are sound sleepers and just looked on it as part of the local colour. Although it was noted that one could get BBC World News on the TV, we never managed to find it, but since we were on holiday, it's not a major problem.

Another thing to be aware of is that it is not very well signed. Like many Roman hotels, it shares a building with other hotels and we couldn't spot it from across the street easily.

The marble floors are excellent on the feet after a long day of sightseeing. We got there early and they kept our bags and later placed them in our room once it was ready and when we left, they also kept our bags safe until our evening flight. Lovely place and I'm hoping we can go back there again soon.

Room Tip: Room 40 faces onto the street, which might be a problem for some who are light sleepers.
