If you are coming to Rome, want to be well connected, not pay the earth, but get a quality hotel, with charm, style as well as facilities and great decor then you must come here.

Detail of thought has went into everything, from the excellently displayed breakfast, perfect coffee to the choice of shampoo and gel in the en suite, an olive based one.

The hotel has a museum and also the most amazing period objects and furniture all on view and for you to touch.

The informative guy on reception speaks excellent English, efficient and helpful and deserves to be treated as gold dust, give him a raise.

There is a theatre style room with a large screen with fixed wooden seating, a fitness suite, a sociable lounge where they serve drinks and serve free snacks at night,

The beds and pillows are comfortable and the room blacks out perfectly, great air con too.

I can not fault this hotel.

Don't be put off by the fact that this hotel is not in the centre of Rome. It's very easy to get everywhere you need by public transport - there is a bus less than 5 minutes walk away which can take you to the main station, Termini, or if you want to go somewhere that is closer to a metro station, the metro is less than 10 minutes walk away, too. Some reviewers have mentioned unfriendly staff, but I didn't find that at all - we were warned about the tax we would have to pay on departure on our arrival, and even though we still didn't have enough cash, I was directed to an ATM without any fuss. Special thanks to the young man offering coffees and setting tables at the breakfast buffet (brekky is simple but good), and the young man staffing the aperitif bar/lounge in the evenings. Both were friendly and always smiling. I thought that on check-out, we could have been asked if we needed any help, especially with taking our baggage up the stairs as we were two girls and they were heavy. Eventually the man on reception did come, but he made a big deal out of the heaviness of the luggage - if he felt incapable of carrying it because of back problems or whatever, we would have managed fine, without him huffing and making us feel indebted!!

If you have noisy neighbours - the walls seem quite thin, and there were people next door who were loud very early in the morning and late into the night. This isn't the hotel's fault, and I am sure we could have made a noise complaint if we chose. All in all, good old-fashioned hospitality, but could have done better on check out. Recommended.

Room Tip: The further up, the better. Less noise from ground floor.

This hotel provided a nice home base for our visit to Rome. There was a nice breakfast, helpful staff, and small but clean rooms. To get to city center, you have to take the bus, but the front desk staff will sell you tickets and the stop is only a few minutes walk away. You should know that it's a good distance from the airport, and the car service they will book for you is 60 Euros one way. The only negative thing I can say is that staying on the middle floor proved to be a little loud as the people upstairs were stomping around quite a bit, so stay on the upper floor if you can!

Dear bonam-bon, thank you very much for the nice comment and thank you for appreciating our structure. Sorry if you've heard noises of people who were returning to their room but it is an event that can happen at any level of structure. Unfortunately, sometimes we go a little all above without thinking that other people are already asleep. We hope it doesn't happen so often! A warm greeting from the staff at Relais6

I stayed in this hotel at the end of my holiday to Italy and have to say for quality of the room I had saved the best until last. As a single traveller it was just perfect; a comfortable bed, cosy pillows, free soft drinks in the mini bar, lovely bathroom products and excellent value for money.
The staff are all very helpful and friendly. A very tasty breakfast with lots of choice.
Location is a little far out in Rome but is on the local bus route

I picked this hotel on the basis of the Trip Advisor reviews as I was in Rome for over a week on my own attending a course and was anxious to have somewhere nice to spent my evenings. I was delighted with the hotel - a well sized clean and attractive room with a nice bathroom. The staff were excellent, particularly the reception staff who spoke excellent English and were very happy to help me with queries and restaurant and car reservations. The included breakfast was more than adequate, a generous range of breads (very good), cold meat and cheese, yoghurts, etc. There was a lovely sitting area with an honesty bar and a pleasant rooftop sitting area and open air gym. I had been worried about having to bus into town but it was a good route and a lack of Italian was absolutely no problem as staff sold tickets and then all you had to do was validate them on the bus. The price more than made up for the short bus trip every morning - don't let it put you off staying there!

I read all the reviews that I could before I booked Relais 6 for my friend and I and we could not have been more pleased. The staff was excellent! The gentlemen at the reception desk were helpful and had great personalities. They made our stay comfortable and fun. The cleaning staff was meticulous in caring for both our room and the hotel. The servers were accomodating and could not do enough for us. Do not worry about the location. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, which makes it nice to come back to after a busy day touring. The Metro stop for the subway is brand new and 3 blocks away. There are small cafes and shops nearby to get something to drink or eat, although the Relais 6 has a wonderful area to sit and enjoy a beverage and a snack. Please do not hesitate; you will not regret it!
