“Wonderful Hotel”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We stayed at the Hotel from 24-27th August, 2014. The staff are very helpful and always willing to answer any questions you may have. Breakfast is lovely. You can have a good breakfast and not want to eat for awhile, which helps when touring around the City.
The rooms are very nice and kept clean.
The hotel is situated in a quiet area so you don't get all the noise from the City. Metro was a short distance away. An enjoyable walk to and from it each day. Buses also close.
I would recommend this place to anybody. My family and I would certainly stay here again..

Room Tip: Maybe ask for rooms on the top floor as we were on 1st and you can hear quite a bit of noise in the...

We stayed between 18th and 22nd August, chosen purely due to tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is in a residential area outside the hustle of the city centre but it was really easy to use the public transport system to get into the centre. The hotel is tastefully decorated maintaining the original features of the building design and era. The staff were really polite, well informed and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel to travellers who want somewhere out of the way of tourists and shabbier neighbourhoods. Great gelateria just down the road too.

Room Tip: We had a superior triple room. Really clean and well maintained.

For the price, I'm not sure you could beat this hotel. Charming rooms with period look, air conditioning that works, decent breakfast selection.

The hotel staff were brilliant at helping me out following an accident I had and rang organisations translating for me!

The service was top notch ... If there were six stars, this might qualify!!

I highly recommend this hotel. Although the hotel is in a residential area, it is a 5-minute walk to the bus stop. There are several good restaurants within walking distance as well. The room was clean and spacious. Great air-conditioning, which was needed for July! The staff was amazing and highly responsive to any questions and/or requests. Loved the lounge area where you could enjoy a glass of wine. Loved, loved, loved our time here. I would stay here again, when I return to Rome.

Worried is was too off the beaten track for a 2 night stay, but after a long flight and chaotic Rome, we relished the quiet of the residential setting. 3 short blocks to Metro with Metro tickets available at the front desk, super convenient. Comfy lounge for a glass of wine. Outside terrace and of course, the usual pristine European room. We were spoiled by the sumptuous breakfast buffet (3 juices, six or seven pastries, five fruits, croissants, rolls, bread, eggs, cheese, ham, perfect cappuccino made to order). Very much a B&B feel. Would stay again.

Room Tip: I can't imagine that all rooms don't share the comfort and quiet.

The hotel was excellent from the moment we walked through the entrance to check-in until the afternoon when we collected our luggage to go home.

On arrival staff at reception provided and marked up a map of both Rome and the local area (restaurants, bus stops, train station, shops, etc). They advised us of several good quality local restaurants where we could eat.

Our room was spotless. The shower was over the bath which was fine and the bath was very useful of an evening to soak tired feet and limbs after hours of walking & site-seeing!

All the staff were always friendly and helpful. We often returned very late in the evening and a member of staff was always available to make a coffee for us.

While the hotel is located out of town and on a side street (i.e. nice and quiet) transport to all locations was not a problem as there were loads of bus routes, trams and a nearby underground train station. There were also loads of good quality restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk so no real need to head back into the city centre if you didn't want to - but late night buses were available if you needed them.

We stayed for a week and were very satisfied with all aspects of this hotel & especially all the staff. We intend to return to Rome (hopefully in 2016) and this is where we intent to stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Dear Rattle-pa,
Thank you for choosing our hotel. We are very grateful to you for taking the time to write your good review on behalf of Relais 6.
In fact, as you say well, the hotel is situated in a side street, away from the city chaos. But, is located a few steps from the Centre, given that the neighborhood is a residential area of the city centre.
We are sincerely delighted to know that in 2016 you will come to Rome and we hope to meet your every need as this time.

My husband and I went to Italy for ten days. Having never been there before I relied heavily on trip advisor reviews to book all of our hotels. In general, my husband and I prefer modern hotels and as we did most of our traveling by train needed to have easy access to public transportation. Our budget per night was approximately $150-225/night.

When it came to Relais 6 I was VERY HAPPY!

The hotel is located outside the city, but easily accessed from the train (if you're traveling in from another city as we were) and only a short walk to the subway -- which will bring you into town. My husband and I found that after a long day of walking and immersing ourselves in the 'touristy' section - it was relaxing to be away from the crowds in the evening. A benefit of this is a more 'local experience'. We had dinner each night near the hotel -- food, prices and service were hands and feet above what we experienced in the 'touristy' parts of town.

What really set the hotel apart was the service. Aside from being knowledgable about the area, and helpful with transportation and restaurant recommendations, the hotel staff go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable. The world cup was on when we were there and my husband and I were interested in watching the game. The hotel staff set us up in their conference room, put the game up for us on the big screen, and even brought us a bucket of beers. Before the end of the game a couple other guests joined us as well! In addition, the hotel offers breakfast in the morning (standard selection for italian hotels), free wi-fi, refrigerator in the rooms, and complimentary glass of wine and snacks at the bar each evening.

The rooms themselves are standard. For Americans may seem on the small side and basic, but in our experience this was standard. Importantly the rooms were clean, the bathroom was big enough and shower hot, the bed was comfortable, and the price was very reasonable.

All in all we would plan to stay Relais 6 for all our trips back to Rome!

Dear Danielle,
Thank you so much for your great review, that helps us, as always when they get the reviews, to improve and to try to give as much as we can to give a good vacation for our guests.
In fact, it's nice to spend an evening in the garden, tasting, with the purchase of a glass of wine, good snacks cooked by Nems and Tiberio for our guests. We hope to see you again in Rome!
Many greetings
