This trattoria was recommended to us by a guide we used years ago in Florence. It happened to be just steps away from the Residenza Ave Roma where we were staying. At the entrance was a huge display of fresh mushrooms, all types. One of us is a vegetarian and these caught his eye. He ordered the porcini arrosto. I am a gnocchi aficionada and was pleased to see them on the menu. They were EXCELLENT. The Florence guide had recommended the eggplant which was also good as well as the bread.
I loved the waiter....typical what you would expect in a Roman trattoria. Cheap eats, tasty, great location, easy to find. 56.50 euros for 3 including 1/2 liter of wine, 3 entrees, bread, beautiful salad. We ate outside.
We had coffee next door at a cute bar.
I'll be back for those gnocchi.......
