We have stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Due to some comments on Tripadvisor we requested a room on the 3rd floor and that is what we got. The room was big with a nice bed, modern bathroom and giant windows to look outside onto the Via del Corso.
The location is amazing. 10mins walk to the Pantheon, 10 mins walk to the Spanish Steps, 10 mins walk to the Trevi Fountain. AMAZING ! If you are really into shopping; All major stores like, NIKE, ADIDAS GAP are across the street and a 5 min walk to Gucci, Guess , Prada , Swarovski etc. The staff was really nice and they serve an excellent breakfast with little muffins, croissant, bread, yoghurt etc etc ( and offcourse a good cup of Capuccino ) The hotel has a small entrance but is so cozy and modern. They clean the room and change your towels every day. Over all we have had a great stay and if we return to Rome we will definately return to this hotel again!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd or 4th floor. Onm the 2nd floor is the reception and breakfast area. Rooms...

My wife, my daughter and I travelled to Rome early this month. We decided to stay at this hotel because of the location. We always want to stay close to the center (shops - main sight-seeinngs) The reception is on the second floor of the building and the stuff welcomes you very friendly. Even thought this hotel has not big areas for the public, it has very nice and clean modern rooms fully equipted. Be carefull this is not a quiet hotel. It is a small, modern, city hotel with polite stuff on a great location (waiking distance to ....... everywhere).

Before leaving back to California we decieded to stay on Via Del Corso so we can do some shopping. This little hotel was so cute and was in the perfect location. If you have a car then this might be a problem. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot a block away. Other then that the hotel was very modern, with a elevator, beautiful room, very spacious, big closet and bathroom, very ugly view of the inside part of the building (but we always had the curtains closed).

Room Tip: Make sure that you dont book your room in the breakfast area. I noticed in the small breakfast area...

Just wrapped up a 3 week European vacation / delayed honeymoon with my wife. We finished our trip in Rome, which in hindsight, wasn't the greatest planning as it was a bit stimulation overload. That said, we wanted a hotel that was centrally located (Spanish Steps), and <$200/nt. We booked the Stay Inn based on these requirements, as well as the numerous positive reviews on this site and others.

The positives:
- location was perfect. We were literally one block from the Spanish Steps, which in turn was very close to a metro station. Additionally, there was tons of shopping in our area, if you are looking for that sorta thing. We weren't, so this was actually a negative for us as there were tons of people around.
- The nightly rate was within our budget. While it still seemed a bit high (based on the negatives below), we found it somewhat reasonable.
- Hotel staff was very friendly. Keep in mind that this hotel seems to be run more like a b&b rather than a big chain hotel. So don't expect a giant reception desk with uniformed employees. That said, the folks that manned the reception were helpful and courteous. But they don't have much power in terms of getting things changed with your reservation if needed (see negatives below).
- They were able to accomodate an early check-in at no extra charge. We got to the hotel around 11am and they were able to get us in our room (standard check-in time is 2pm and they seemed pretty firm on that over the phone).
- Room was modern and clean. The shower stall was a bit tight but the bathroom was pretty big overall.

The negatives:
- Our room location sucked. It was right behind the reception desk, with the breakfast room not far from there. You could hear noise starting pretty early in the day (~6am) and the smells from the breakfast room weren't that great.
- No changes to your reservation within 7 days of check-in. This was a biggie for us as we had to change our stay from 3 nights to 2 to accomodate some travel plans. So we had to eat the full cost of the third night. What was supremely annoying was that we had to deal with the friendly but powerless reception staff to sort this out. The owner (who called all the shots) was never there, and didn't speak English anyway. So there was zero opportunity to actually discuss the situation with the decision maker. Still annoyed about that one.
- Not much night life in the area. There are some decent cafes/restaurants in walking distance, but nothing to really do after that. While this has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel, it should be noted when considering the location.

All in all, I guess you could say we got what we wanted - a reasonably priced room in a central location to do touristy things (Vatican museum, Uffizi, Pantheon, etc). That said, I'm not sure we would recommend this hotel to anyone unless they 1) were 99.9% of their travel plans and didn't want the flexibility of a fee-free reservation change, 2) really wanted to be near quality shopping.

Room Tip: request a room that is not on the main floor where reception and breakfast is.

The location is fantastic.
The building is a little dissapointing but the rooms are very modern and very nice to stay
All is tiny,
People are very kind specially the girl who cater the breakfast
I think it is a good and simple place to stay for the price

This hotel was just what we needed- Clean, modern and in a perfect location. The rooms were immaculate and were cleaned thoroughly daily. The staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast was basic, but suitable for the price. The location was PERFECT. This hotel is the perfect choice if you want to be in the centre of Rome, within walking distance to all the major attractions. The only negative we do recognise was the positioning of some of the rooms. A few of the rooms were directly attached the breakfast room- something which we would not have been happy about if we were staying in. Ideally it is suitable to ask for a room on the 3rd and 4th floor if possible.

Whilst we were staying at another hotel, four of our friends stayed at the Stay Inn Roma. Having read some of the previous reviews, we were all a little concerned about their choice. We needn't have been. The Stay Inn is a great little hotel in a fantastic location with some wonderful staff. What more could you ask for? In a city as expensive as Rome, this was incredibly good value for such a clean and comfortable hotel. So, dont worry about the other reviews, this hotel is great!!!
