We traveled with our family of five and decided to stay out of the turistic areas to savor a bit of the true roman experience and that was what we got! In a residencial suburb of Rome a lovely 200 year old mansion, newly remodeled and with a romantic flair,we enjoyed every minute! The rooms where very comfortable and bathrooms had all the usual amenities. The windows had an electric blind that came down to shut out all the morning light, wich the kids thought to be awsome! Staff was very helpful and suggested a number of good restaurants near by. We had breakfast included in our rate and the selection of choices was good, with delicious cakes made fresh every morning.
Yes it is far out the major attractions and a cab is the best way to get around, even though we did walk 10 minutes to get to the bus stop and other restaurants. But if it's quality and something extra you're looking for, than this is the right place.
