Wonderful, silent, cozy hotel! Not near to the center and historical sights, there is a bus 360 which goes from Terimini and there are to hotel, 12 stops. The hotel of that costs, green, beautiful design of rooms, a fine breakfast!

This was our last stop after two-weeks of euro-tripping before we headed home. What a fantastic way to end our trip! We stayed a total of 3 nights @ Hotel Villa Duse. The hotel is tucked away in a nice residential area & as per previous reviews, it is a bit far from the centre where all the actions are. However, this drawback is all made up by the hotel's quality & service level. All the staff were extremely friendly & helpful, nothing but top-notch services! Moreover, after a long day of exploring the city, I certainly do not mind coming back to a comfy, cozy hotel to relax & get a good night's sleep.

Breakfast served is your typical European breakfast incl. Cold-cuts, Cheese, Bread, Cereals, Juices, etc. But what Hotel Villa Duse excels in comparision to other hotels is the quality of food such as its daily house-made quiche pie, a refreshing macedonia fruit salad down to a simple cup of cappuccino! They were all well-made & delicious!

Overall, Hote Villa Duse is a nice quaint hotel where you can get away from the buzzing city centre which is packed with tourists & get a chance to take in the local lives.

No doubt this is probably the best Boutique Hotel in our travelling experience. Staying as I write this review, we are so impressed. Style just oozes from this establishment. The owner was available and introduced herself to us on arrival and a personal escort to our room by the reception. The receptionist has been so helpful in our limited understanding of Italian. Everything is class from the room and private courtyard to the aperitif at 6pm in the garden. I'm throwing some coins into the fountain today - to make sure we return to Villa Duse.

Room Tip: Book early, its worth it to ensure you get to stay here.

Our third visit to this beautifull world city.
The tipical tourist locations were not our main target this time. So a hotel in a quiet area and not too close to the centre was our goal.
We found it . . this Hotel Villa Duse.
A good transportation connection with the bus 360 'Muse' from Termini railwaystation every 10 -15 min. The bus-stop is almost at the hotel door.
A nagative point perhaps is the small room and also the bathroom is small but with good (working) modern and clean facilities. As our intention were not to stay too many daily hours in the hotel it did not matter us.
The realy very good breakfast (for Italian standards) is served in the basement of the nice villa and has a nice/good selection of bread, croissant, cheese, antipaste, yoghurts, fruit, cake and rolls.
Service staff was verry good and polite . . all speak English.

Just returned from a great stay at Villa Duse, Rome. Staff were really helpful and really made us feel welcome. Continental breakfast was very enjoyable and as we stayed in a garden room we had breakfast in our own private garden one morning, helped make the stay feel more special and was great in the sunshine. There is a 5 euro charge for this but well worth it. Rooms are done in a typical Italian style and felt very luxurious, the fact that there are only a small number of rooms make it feel even better. The hotel is about a 20-30 bus ride from the main bus/train/underground station, the no 360 bus stops right outside the hotel and seems to run about every 10 minutes. This means it can discourage you from heading back into the city after a days sightseeing, however, there are a number of great value restaurants within a 10 min walk. I would say that these restaurants are more Italian feeling and seem to have lots of locals in them - always a good sign. When we did head into the centre at night we got a taxi back at around 12 euros from the Spanish Steps so not too bad.

All in all I would definitely recommend VillaDuse if you like the Boutique style of hotel.

We booked Hotel Villa Duse after reading good reviews on this site and on expedia. I have to say, the good comments were well deserved. This hotel was even better than we expected. The building is lovely, our room was great, with an amazingly comfy bed, and the bathroom was head to toe in solid marble....wow! The breakfast buffet was not only of a very high quality, but also more than sufficient to load up with calories for an endless day on foot in Rome. Most importantly, the staff, as everyone else also seemed to say, were just so friendly and helpful, and made Villa Duse a joy to stay at. There is also a lovely secluded private garden, with tables and chairs and a heady perfume of Jasmine flowers which enclose the garden. This was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. Yes, the hotel is outwith the centre of Rome, but not by too much. We were about 10 Euros by taxi from Termini on the Sunday when we arrived. After this, our 'Roma Pass' got us on all public transport for 3 full days. The service bus no.360 from Termini stops almost at the door of the hotel, and takes about 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, a short 5 minute walk will take you to a stop for no.19 Tram direct to the Vatican. Altogether, a great hotel for our first visit to Rome. Rome itself was simply magical. So much history, with the best coffees and ice cream thrown in for good measure. If you've never been......just go! We will return to both!
