“Romantic, perfect hotel for our last night in Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

The room was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and booking a car for us to the airport. We had a private garden, which was delightful, and the breakfast was excellent. No complaints at all. True it is outside of the city center and a bit of a hike from the main tourist attractions, but after a busy week seeing the center of Rome and the sites in Florence, this was the perfect way to end our vacation.

Room Tip: We liked our room with the private garden, but we were in room #1 which is the closest to the entran...

Booked this hotel based on the reviews. Chose the Tower Lodge as it seemed special and interesting.
Arriving from the outside, the hotel is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and very helpful.
Our room was smaller than I had expected, but none the less very well decorated and has a very cozy fell to it. Also the private patio is nice, not so much in November, but during the spring and summer, I can imagine it being great.
So what are those little small things that prevents the top score ? Things like handles missing on some of the furniture, mold on parts of the caulk in the shower, shower heads gunked up with lime scale, light switches that don't work, bathroom sink with broken drain (which I fixed for them) valve and bed lamps that don't work. Small things like these, don't ruin the hotel, but it just leaves enough scars in the overall picture that the overall experience suffers.
The breakfast was also hit and miss, the first morning it didn't work so well. To buffet was not restocked, so when we got there (an hour after it opened), there were no more rolls and most of the cold cuts were gone. My cappuccino was also a little off. The next morning however, it was much better, we were there at the same time, there were plenty of rolls still, a much larger selection of cold cuts and the cappuccino was much better.
So, this could be top of the line, just need to fix some of the glitches.

Stayed here the week of the 10th November 2013. The Staff at this hotel were amazing, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and looked just like the photos they have on there website. Breakfast was excellent. If your looking for a Rome Hotel, look no further. Only down side is its a wee way from the shopping and colosseum area (12Euro taxi)

Room Tip: About a 12 Euro taxi to the Colosseum area.

We loved Villa Duse, it was a great choice for us as we miss walking and staying outside the city meant that we could walk through the beautiful Borghese Park everyday to get into the centre, the view from the top of the park over Rome is just stunning. It is a 30 minute walk, and you can't escape that, we tried the bus but found it all a bit too confusing to make it back to the hotel by this mode of transport.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the rooms very comfortable. The blackout blinds enabled my husband to sleep longer than he ever does at home! The breakfast is nice, and the homemade cakes and authentic quiche delicious. There are plenty of good restaurants close by, if you fancy escaping the centre of Rome.
The staff are what made it extra special though, they really could not do enough for us and there was a real personal touch.
Well done to all - highly recommended.

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay here from 25th to 27th October.

This hotel is located in the Parioli district of Rome which is the affluent area of Rome and it showed with is beautiful houses and tree lined streets!

From the moment we stepped through the doors (quite late 9.30pm). We were treated like VIPs. Our room was a Prestige Classic. When we opened the door it was beautifully decorated and smelt divine! The marble bathroom was spotless. The shower was multi jet and lovely and powerful after a full day of exploring Rome. The Etro bath products were a real treat too! The bed was large and very comfortable!

The reception staff especially Miguel were very polite and helpful when we needed advice for Restaurants or getting about etc.

The hotel is on the outskirts of Rome but a taxi in cost between 7 and 10 euros. We walked back to the hotel through Villa Borghese gardens which took around 40 minutes (walking in to Rome centre would be quicker as it is downhill)

The hotel was very reasonable price wise compared to some hotels in the centre! Also, it is lovely and quiet in the evenings and mornings, so no early wake up calls. One thing to wake up for though is the delicious breakfasts which serves a continental buffet of a variety of fruit, cereal, yoghurts, quiche and cakes etc. A lovely start to a long day sightseeing!

Our flight home was in the evening so the hotel happily looked after our bags for the day!

Overall I would without doubt recommend this hotel to everybody! It definitely made our memories of Rome all the sweeter!

We decided to book a place in the Parioli neighborhood a little north from the centre in order to benefit from the quietness of the residential area. The hotel is near the end of bus line 360 so easy to reach and a 15 minutes walk to the Villa Borghese area.
The staff were friendly and serviceable - the room was nicely decorated and we had a private terrace to enjoy the morning sun. Breakfast is better than at other Italian hotels, with wonderful home made pies.
You have to walk 10-15 minutes to reach the restaurants area and it is worth - we sampled a great fish restaurant a little further (Ai Piani).

Room Tip: Rooms 2 and 3 are on the ground floor near reception, so if you are a light sleeper, you could hear...

This hotel is on a quiet street in Parioli, just North of Villa Borghese. The staff and charm of the hotel make up for the location, which is not near the center of tourism. But the street and hotel are so charming, you will be glad to be here after the noise and bustle of the center of Rome. The saff are very helpful and very nice and speak English perfectly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 15 has a large terrace and room # 1 also has a terrace. Not noisy
