This hotel has the best location out of any hotel in Rome. The colosseum is right across the street. All points of interest are within a 15 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and help you with anything you need. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Excellent stay.

Only spent a couple of nights at Palazzo Manfredi, but was made to feel like royalty! Reception staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our room was ready upon check-in after 3, as we planned our departure from Florence mid-day to enjoy a leisure scenic 2-hr train ride to Rome. A very short taxi ride (15€) from train to Manfredi was easy, (don't mind if taxi drops you off in the middle of the street, on metro tracks in front of hotel, it probably saves at least 5€ off taxi fare, as navigating one way streets can seem to take much longer for door front drop off). We were hosted to an afternoon Proseco & light snack in their lounge looking at the impressive view of the Colloseum before we went to our room. The room was very big, nicely decorated, well appointed bathroom with vintage bathtub & vanity. There was only a short glass partition that separated the tub/shower from the bidet, which made showering a bit challenging, hard not to flood the floor. A lovely champagne and fruit basket arrived shortly after we got in the room, as we were celebrating a special anniversary/birthday. Although Our room didn't face the colosseum, the windows opened and there was a large park across the street. Street noise was not am issue as the double paned glass and blackout drapes kept noise & light out completely! We read great reviews on & had tried to prebook our reservations at their signature Restaurant Aroma, for the first night, but they were already full. Got a good recommendation for a casual trattoria within short walk around the corner, and had a traditional Tuscan pasta dinner. There was quite a few eateries to choose from, but decided in the second one recommended by hotel. Quaint shops, gelateria, and a small convenience store to pick up snacks & beverages all found within walking close to hotel. We did enjoy a fabulous dinner at Aroma's the next night, good service, tasty menu AND That view of the Colloseum at night is quite amazing!!! Attire requested was elegant/resort, the hotel provided valet service to press our evening wear, left on the bed in the morning, and back in time for dinner early evening. When we returned from dinner, there were turn down "truffles" at our bedside, which was a nice touch and classy way to end a wonderful evening. Our only regret is that we did not reserve Colloseum ticket for touring there the next day, the hotel offered, but needs to know night before, as they get VIP tickets (no line) very early in the a.m before they're sold out. We had Rome passes for the hop on and off, which is a great way to see all the "must see's" in a short time, where you can choose to get off and walk, or stay on, there are two routes to choose from 60 or 90 minutes. It rained lightly on our sightseeing day, which made it still a nice way to enjoy Rome undercover. We LOVED Hotel Palazzo Manfredi, and would not hesitate to return, again the hotel, staff and location makes it all worth the $$$$First class all the way!

First night in Rome for our honeymoon! We were greeted at the hotel with free champagne in the roof top restaurant. The colosseum is so close you can almost touch it. The hotel arranged for a bed of rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed. The room was exceptional with an awesome bathroom. Although the price was relatively high, the location next to the colloseum was worth it. Dinner at the restaraunt will run about 150-200 euro, but also worth the price (at least once). I would definitely stay here again.

We were in Rome for just a couple of days to "decompress" before continuing our travels in Italy. This hotel was the perfect choice -- small, unique and elegant without spending a fortune. The staff, especially the front office manager, Giacomo, couldn't have been more helpful. He made arrangements for us at a nearby spa, and for a wonderful tour guide. When the staff found a blouse that I had left behind, I was contacted and the blouse was sent to me at our next venue. The views of the Coliseum are spectacular, and offer an interesting contrast to the hotel's contemporary, high tech touches. We will definitely be back.

Yes to all of this: great location; fantastic room (suite with view on the Colloseum); great service; perfect location; Great dinner in the restaurant. So, all the good things you read are right.

Could have been (a bit) better: the breakfast; the cleanliness of stairs; the hotel is along a busy road which makes it a bit noisy in the morning

But all by all: a very nice hotel to stay and would advise to stay there when you are in Rome

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and have only praise for the standard of service, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the comfort of the beds!
Although the hotel is not in the centre of Rome it is very easy to get to all the places you want and there is something very special about returning to this cozy and friendly place with a magnificent view of the Coliseum. It is easy to walk to the tour buses and taxis are there within seconds. The doormen (particularly the cute American!) were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms were clean , access to English speaking TV, good wifi, comfortable beds and a really nice bathroom - not much else you need.

The only negative was the cost of food and drink - 54 euros for two small dishes of ice-cream and a cup of tea in your room was a little excessive. But that was a small niggle compared to everything else. Lots of good restaurants for coffee/croissants and evening dinner very near by.

We loved it and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: All of the rooms appear to be good - you pay extra for a view of the Coliseum. All are quiet.

Stayed here for two nights for my husband's 30th. Booked the Romantic Package which included champagne on arrival, 4 course meal in their award winning Aroma restaurant, couples massages and much more.

Our hotel room overlooked the Coliseum and the view is absolutely breathtaking.

The service was fantastic. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
