“Cosy, lively trattoria with friendly service”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Very convenient location - close to our B&B around Piazza Vittorio Emmanuel II. Ambient atmosphere, nice interior and friendly service. The food was lovely too!

“Good food, slow service.”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

We were recommend this restaurant by our hotel and were very pleased. Reservation is essential before 8 otherwise you may be rushed. Service was not great as very busy but waiters were very friendly and apologetic. If you are not in a hurry this would not bother you but if you haven't been seen to maybe just give them a nudge as they may have forgotten! Food was delicious. I had the sausage rigatoni which was very rich and filling!

“Nothing to write home about”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

This restaurant (down lots of steps - not for the disabled) is very popular. It is very large and was very busy when we went. The prices are reasonable for Rome and the menu is to be congratulated on its honesty. All the fish and some other items ( French fries for example) are shown as frozen - see the little star. We had (frozen) deep fried vegetables, saltimbocca and escalope Marsala, a portion of fries, a tiramisu, litre of water and half litre of (drinkable) red wine. €50 including tip. But by no means was this a memorable meal. It was good value fuel. We'll pay more tomorrow in the hope of finding some really good italian food.

“A memorable meal in Rome”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

We were lucky enough to stay right down the street from this little gem of a restaurant where we ate two out of three nights we were in Rome. It gets very busy so reservations are required other wise be prepared to wait. The prices were reasonable and the portions were aqueduct. Both pasta house specialties were outstanding as they finish it off by placing the pasta in one of their hallowed out cheese wheels- if you love Romano cheese you'll be in heaven. The house wine is also excellent as was the service. We don't speak much Italian, but we're traveling with someone who spoke Spanish and the waiter spoke Spanish so it all went smoothly. Atmosphere was casual and staff and owner made you feel welcomed.

“Good food, terrible service”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

This restaurant is easy to reach if you live or are staying in the vicinity of Termini Station but since it is usually packed, be sure to make a reservation first. The food was actually very good (with the exception of the pizza Margherita... plain and average). The bucatini was exceptional, the meat dish was very good. However, the waiting times were very long (it took us 2 hours to get through dinner... and no, it was not due to our delightful conversation, since the noise and the horrible acoustic does not let you hear the person at the other side of the table). The waiter was ironic and condescending and we had the distinct feeling that the restaurant caters to a local clientele and does not like foreigners. A real pity, but we are not coming back. Were it not for its terrible service, I would give this restaurant one more star.
