“Very good choice.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2013 via mobile

Stayed between 6-10/8/2013 with my wife and two kids.
I checked more than 10 options before booking but when I saw the photos and prices of all these hotels, this one seemed like a good value for money deal and it was.

Plus - Great hotel as a building, very friendly personnel, rooms were as clean as they get. Not next to Termini train station like most sought after hotels, but 5min and 12euro by taxi will get you there (12 euro will get you anywhere really) and even with adding the extra 24 euro a day for the taxi (12 each way) it was still way cheaper than most of the better located options I checked.

Minus - none really, although breakfast can be improved but is adequate, jacuzzi in the room was noisy but it could be a technical issue and I didn't bother reporting it to reception who would have probably sorted it out.

Overall - Would definitely stay there again.

We liked the hotel, but it was to very hard find. We could not see the very small sign from the road so we vent around in a circle 2 times before finding the Hotel in an ally. The service is good, and all the front staff we meet spoke understandable English. The room was great. The worst thing about.the hotel is the food, we had pasta carbonara for starters and it was under cooked, the bacon was a bad quality and the whole dish was covered in salt and peber. the rest of the food was okay, but very over priced. I can see myself visiting the hotel again, but we would have to be very hungry to eat at the restaurant.

We loved our stay at this Eurostars. The rooms and bathroom are clean and modern and have GREAT air conditioning for the hot summer months! The staff were so friendly, fluent in English, and even helped us book dinner reservations one night over the phone. The hotel is right across the street from a bus stop and it is super easy to get downtown to all the sights that way; however, getting back to the hotel at night was a bit challenging (probably because we had no idea what we were doing!) so we ended up taking cabs back at night. One night we took the metro back and the metro stop is a good 20 min walk from the hotel, OR a short bus ride away. For some reason the same buses we would take downtown in the morning didn't stop at the same stops at night, or something. Not sure.
But, the BEST part about our stay at this hotel is that we told the staff we were celebrating our honeymoon, and one night we came back to the room to find a bottle of champagne AND a Napoleon dessert waiting for us! It was amazing! Such a wonderful and personal touch to our stay. We would come back again.

We were booked into the sister hotel, the Eurostars St John, but due to a booking error, stayed at the Aeterna for the first two nights. I wish we could have stayed here the entire time, it was perfect. In fact, every time we were out in town near the area, we would look at each oterh wistfully and say, 'look... The good hotel!'

Service is impeccable, the food was second to none, the rooms were bright and the hotel is impeccably clean. Don't let the fact that this hotel is further out than others put you off, it's on a main bus route, you won't have any problems getting here.

I could wax on about this for ages, all I can say is that after 25 years of travelling, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed at, bar none.

Stayed 4 nights and booked two rooms. The first impression of the area was not a positive one. It seemed to be in a very much run-down part of Rome. However, the hotel which is tucked away out of sight was a welcome experience. The design is modern and clean. They have drinks and fruits at the reception every evening which was great after a long day of sight-seeing. Service was good.

Since we came with two young children, maneuvering the stroller up and down the 7 steps to our room was not fun. (But then again, Rome is not the stroller-friendliest place there is.) Our room was a little cramped after our luggage, stroller and crib had been set up. I expected a bigger room since we were paying so much yet staying so far from the city-centre.

Breakfast was great. The breakfast area did not give off the impression of a cafeteria and the quality of the food was quite excellent. Fresh bread, brewed coffee.

If we return to Rome, it is unlikely we will stay here again for the reason that it is far from the city centre - an inconvenience when traveling with young children. The bus system is efficient enough once you get to know it though.

If you want to stay in the City at some Tourist spot untilgbar Late, then Never Chose this hotel.. Its Not Safe to Travel to this hotel very Late and also the frequency of local Transport too this Place was Not very Good.. I won't recommend especially because of Location..

Had a great holiday recently in Rome. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is about a good half hour from the city centre but there was a good bus service right outside our hotel. We managed to purchase a tourist bus ticket for 3 days (which the hotel advised about) that covered bus/metro and trams - although we stuck with the bus service all the time. The hotel also provided a very good map which we used all the time and very easy to use. It also had all the metro stops and where the bus routes went.

The hotel restaurant for evening meals was very nice but I wouldn't rely on eating here as it is quite small much better to venture into the centre and find a restaurant as there are plenty of them. I understand some people's reviews as regard to the neighbourhood but don't let this put you off, we had no trouble at all and you will notice that there is graffiti all over Rome and very colourful characters no matter where you visit.
