“Suburb Hotel”
Reviewed 10 July 2012

Our family of three stayed at Babuino 181 in mid July after choosing it based on the TripAdvisor ratings and location. We are very glad we did. The hotel is fantastic. Our suite was large, comfortable, and very modern. The windows are well insulated to keep the road noise out but the shudders open easily to let the light in. They had recently opened a roof top lounge and breakfast area and they are as well appointed and classy as the rest of the hotel. The front desk staff was wonderful. Our only complaint is there is no place to park nearby and it is very easy to pass the hotel without noticing it as the entrance and signs are both small. Once you pass it getting back is a labyrinth of 1-way streets.

My husband & I spent 3 nights here in December 2011 (bit of a late review :)), we loved it! The hotel staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our room was beautiful, clean & spacious. The location of the hotel was also a big plus - within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, The Trevi Fountain, lots of lovely local bars & restaurants & designer shopping! The area around the hotel was quite safe as well, we spent many late nights walking back to the hotel without any hassles. Will definately return on our next trip to Rome.

We chose to stay in Babuino 181 for its raving review in Tripadvisors.

The hotel is really beyond expextation. The welcome was very warm; the reception passionately showed us the beautiful room. Luggage was delivered promptly. When we asked a few things about rome, he eagerly provided that information.

The room is really beautiful. It is nicely designed with comfort also in mind. The bathroom is spacious; there is a tub with separate shower cubicle. The amenities there as also nice. It is pretty luxurious, comparable to a five-star hotel property.

The breakfast room up in the top floor is also beautiful, comfortable and modern. There is a relaxing feeling being there. A good way to start our days in Rome. The food served is delicous. The range provided is very good; one can have a fulfilling healty breakfast there.

The staff is really wonderful. Not even one that we met was not friendly. They are courteous, too. They really put their effort in making the guests getting what they want.

The hotel is strongly recommended. We will defenitely go back there when we go back to Rome.

Bravo, Babuino 181!

we had a great three nights at this exclusive Boutique Hotel. The rooms have all the mods and coms and are stylish and practical. Lots of room to hang your clothes too. Always convenient when living next to a million of fashion shops of the best what Italy designers have to offer. We loved breakfast on the roof and Claudia made us the best Cappucino! Jessica from the receptions was fantastic and helped with whatever we needed.
For a true Roman dining experience we walked just around the corner to Edy where the food is authentic and the prices very moderate.
We are travelling quite a bit around the world and I was suprised how inexpensive Rome is compared e.g. to Paris.
Will be back to see and shop more and stay at Babuino!

Room Tip: you are in Rome so no room is totally quiet but if you closed the double glazed windows and shutters...

We loved this hotel! our friends and my husband and I had 2 rooms for 3 nights and loved the personal service, comfortable beds, nicely appointed rooms and extra attention to noise control with shutters, padded window panels and black out drapes. Breakfast on the enclosed roof deck was exceptional with many fresh options and delicious cappuccino.

I'd also recommend this hotel for the central area and great shopping.

Room Tip: All 14 rooms are good. Our friends and we had rooms 201 & 301.

We stayed at Babuino for 3 nights during the most extremely hot week in Rome. This place made us feel at home. The Suite has everything comfortable & just right for all of us. The breakfast on the rooftop was even the best breasfast among all hotels we stayed in Italy, though not much selection but the quality of food and staff were impressed, especially the Cappucino.
Small Hotel but luxury & comfortable suite!!!

Wonderful boutique hotel in the Tridente area of Rome. Close to Piazza del Popolo and Flaminio metro station. My wife and I enjoyed a well appointed and (more importantly) maintained deluxe room (301) which served as the ideal base for a week of living 'La Dolce Vita'. Truly posh. The beautiful rooftop terrace where breakfast was served was wonderful with some of the best cappuccinos in Rome served by Claudia. Jessica and rest of the front desk staff were exceptional in their professionalism and helpfulness. Security and safety in this small hotel was never an issue for us. We arranged faultless airport transfer through the hotel. We would gladly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in higher floor facing the side street, not via Babuino.
