Excellent, modern accommodation at the heart of the action in the Tridente. Spacious, comfortable facilities and nice touches in hidden wardrobe, coffee making facilities and satellite TV. Nice breakfast on the top floor terrace, sheltered from the morning sun. But best of all, a short stroll into the heart of Rome.

I stayed for 4 nights at the Babuino 181 suites in July and I could not speak highly enough of the room, the furnishings, the staff or the location. Everything was perfect. The coffee machine is always a really great plus (when will this catch on in every 4 and 5 star hotel?) and the shared living space outside the suite was an excellent feture, especially with the sizzling hot Rome weather which made venturing out during the afternoon fairly difficult. The suite itself (No. 105) was magnificent in size, furnishings and comfort and I only wish I could have stayed on for longer. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful, cheerful or knowledgeable of where to eat, what to visit, how to commute and the rest of it. The location is literally around 150 yards from the Spanish steps and is surrounded by shops and restaurants of all sorts. If there were something to comment on it would be the breakfast (buffet). The setting on the top floor was great, but the choices were extremely limited. An establishment like this could certainly do better on that front.

Room Tip: I stayed in Suite 105 which overlooked two sides of the building. Perfect.

It was our first ever trip to Rome and we searched on the web for ages for the perfect place to stay. And we were very happy to have found Babuino 181. Babuino 181 is a wonderful concept, more individual suites than a standard hotel. Which means you get an incredibly spacious room with every luxury amenity you could imagine at a very resaonable value in a great location. It was our ideal sanctuary at the end of a hot day being wowed by all Rome has to offer. The reception area was also very attentive and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat. A wonderful bar round the corner which does delicious food and feels very authentic was the perfect start to our stay. And prior to this the hotel's own roof top terrace with bar stocked with ice buckets of prosecco and red and white wine was a delight to experience. Very special. And a great breakfast spot to start the day. Couldn't imagine a better place to stay. A lovely area. We will be back!

You can't tell from the outside nor from the lobby down this narrow street in Rome that the rooms are expansive, modern, and well-appointed. The staff is very friendly and the location is perfectly close to the Spanish steps, shopping, nice authentic restaurants. You can't go wrong staying here! Please don't let the word out !! Great place.
