“Great place to relax in luxury after a bustling Rome day”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

We loved the modern, calming decor of our practically new room. The marble bathroom, with soaking tub and separate shower, was lovely. Interesting note: its door shut silently, which doesn't awaken your partner in the middle of the night. After 4 nights, we started to feel as if we lived on this street in Rome, a short stroll from either the Spanish Steps or the Piazza del Popolo. Popping out in the morning, we believed we were truly in "our" neighborhood. The young, friendly, kind concierges are very helpful and delightful. They'll really advocate for their guests, particularly when dealing with hyper-expressive Rome taxi drivers--there's a cute story here. The rooftop lounge is a great place to relax, and the bartender there knows how to make guests feel welcome. Breakfast was among the highlights of the European breakfasts we ate. We will recommend this hotel to others, even though with the current exchange rate it is quite expensive.

Room Tip: Rooms in the annex will satisfy you just as much as rooms in the main building, perhaps more if it...

Great size SUITE, the rooms looked a little on the small side but hey, you are in Rome so expect SMALL rooms.
Great location and very helpful staff who spoke English very well.
The hotel is situated down the road from the Spanish Steps and is in close walking distance to public transport and taxi ranks.
I would stay here again.

On our honeymoon, we absolutely loved this hotel.

Firstly, the location is perfect, nestled amongst some of the city's biggest landmarks, but on a smaller street away from much of the noise and clutter.
Seemed very safe.
Staff were very helpful, professional & offered up many recommendations.

The room we had was very spacious, super clean and had the best shower I have ever experienced. Perfect for washing the day off. Internet connections were great, tv in the room was huge and it came complete with its own nespresso coffee machine.

This place also has a great rooftop bar with a retractable roof, so even though it rained, we still got to enjoy a few drinks and our breakfast the next morning.

This hotel is almost new in its construction and you can tell. After having stayed in Rome before, this place certainly feels like where we will be staying the next time we are back.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in mid-September. The room was great: spacious and clean with a large bathroom and closet and lots of plugs for recharging phones and a laptop.
Plus the location is teriffic.

We started our days with a very nice breakfast (included with the room) on the fifth floor roof area and after a long day of being tourists, we began to recharge with pre-dinner drinks at the roof bar. We always felt comfortable and were never rushed.

The employees were very helpful. Dragos, the bar manager was very friendly and welcoming and gave us a couple of great dinner recommendations as did Teodora at the front desk. They made us feel right at home.

When we return to Rome, we will not look elsewhere, because we will definitely stay here again.

Sstayed here for our second visit to Rome for 6 nights. Great location, walking to everything, just get out and walk Rome! Great roof top lounge area for a drink and breakfast every morning.
Rooms are very modern, great bathroom, and lots of space. Would stay here again. One small thing to improve on...... When asking to make a reservation for anything , theydon't get back to you and confirm that it is done, you need to check again with the desk to make sure they get your reservation.

Room Tip: Stayed in a room facing the alley way, still it is a bit nosiy but you are in Rome! Windows are very...

We loved Babuino 181. It was a great location right in the heart of the chic area of Rome. Close to Spanish Steps but far enough from the throngs of tourists.
The room had great closet space and a great bathroom.

We loved the outdoor space on the roof and had welcome drinks and breakfast which was terrific. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Would definitely return to stay and we have stayed at some of the best hotels in Rome!

Room Tip: We had room 102 which was very nice.

We spent three nights at Babuino 181 and could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel location is excellent, close to the best shopping and restaurants. It was beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and very quiet. The staff was always helpful, booking a great guide for the Sistine Chapel, and a car to the airport. Above that, they were genuinely nice and cheerful. It was a brief three night stay, but we would definitely return to this excellent hotel.

Room Tip: We loved the room with the loft, for our son.
