“Wonderful hotel is a great location.”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

I stayed here for work. It was one of the nicest places I have stayed. When I was arrived I was told I had been upgraded to a Deluxe Suite which was very nice.

I was able to go for a short walk and see a number of the well known sites in Rome - the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain etc.

I had to leave to early to experience the breakfast but the reception were very helpful in organising transport.

The Carpenter family have recently left this delightful boutique hotel. The Hotel is in a perfect spot close to the Spanish Steps and Via Del Corso for shopping. The staff at reception were professional yet incredibly helpful in suggesting restaurants, places to visit, organising tour guides etc etc. House keeping was exceptional. Always seemed to be done the moment you left the room and evening turn down service efficiently done as well. Breakfast was taken on the roof terrace and was a delightful spot for breakfast. A great continental selection with scrambled eggs and omelettes on offer as well. In the evening it was a pleasure to retreat to the roof terrace after a busy day, where the efficient bar manager Dragos had the most delicious Prosecco ready and waiting. Without doubt the best Prosecco ever!! Would go back to the Babuino in a heart beat. We also travelled with 2 teenage boys and they really enjoyed it too.

Dear Guest,

It’s an honor to serve our guests in each and every way, so it humbles me you found our housekeeping to be “exceptional” and our Prosecco to be the best in Rome! We hope to welcome you and your family back again soon.

Myself and my partner recently spent two fantastic nights in this very. Chic hotel which is perfectly situated for all the attractions and shops ..... It was made even more enjoyable because of the attention to detail and assistance of the concierge Theodore. She gave us excellent information on places to visit, restaurants to eat etched which proved invaluable when exploring this beautiful city, we look forward to returning to Rome and your hotel with its exceptional staff !!

We stayed here for 3 nights and we immensely enjoyed it. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with a very nice design of the rooms, a nice rooftop bar, friendly staff and the perfect location. The biggest bonus of this Hotel is,however, the concierge Teodora. Helping with tickets to various sights she advised us on where to go, what to eat, arranging transportation and list could go on and on. Thank you for making a trip we will never forget. We miss you already and can't wait to be back at babuino

My wife and I had spent 8 days in Sicily in relatively uncomfortable hotels so upon arriving at the Babuino 181 we had limited expectations. We were BLOWN away by everything about this hotel. First, the room and bathroom are spacious and our King bed had fabulous linens and was super comfortable. Second, the location is perfect. It's right next to the prime shopping area, great restaurants and walking distance to most of the tourist sites. Third, the staff. They go out of their way to offer assistance and they all speak English. In fact one gal at reception seems to be a transplant from the US and speaks better English than we do (ha!). Fourth, the terrace bar has complimentary cocktails from 6pm - 10:30pm for guests. Finally, the BLACK OUT shutters and curtains were amazing. Our room was pitch black at 10:00am. We plan to go to Paris next year and hope to find a similar hotel there!!!

Room Tip: Right outside of our window were two restaurants that are a bit loud. If you shut the shutters and w...

We have already stayed a number of times in this hotel. It is undoubtedly a first rate Rome accommodation. It's located in the center of Rome and you can walk everywhere from this hotel. The rooms are large and have all necessary amenities. The reception and management friendly. On the top floor in a terrace you are served breakfast and afternoon happy hour and drinks. The best that I can say about them is that on my next visit in Rome I will again stay in this hotel. It's quite an expensive hotel, so be prepared to pay for this luxury.

We stayed here during a family trip to Rome and found the location perfect. The concierge service was excellent and the tour guide she arranged for us were incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. The little breakfast/lounge area on the top of the hotel was a nice place to start and end the day.
The rooms were clean and large for a European hotel and were perfect for a family. It's almost like a luxury serviced apartment.
