just back from holiday in Rome and stayed here and sister hotel as part of Rome luxury suites. The staff are very friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat and shop. The rooms are large with great bathrooms and all very clean but be warned as there are some internal rooms that can be celllike so ask for a room with a view Other reviewers have already mentioned how close this property is to everything that Rome has to offer and i would be very happy to stay here the next time I am back

Think of every positive adjective you have ever used to describe a hotel you would love to return to. They all apply to Babuino 181. Joe Joe greeted us when we arrived with a friendly, helpful, efficicient and responsive attitude that never stopped. His recommendations for restaurants and for things to do each day were perfect. Before we left for a long walk, I meant to ask for turn-down and for a bucket of ice. During our walk, I sent an email to Joe Joe from a restaurant that offered WiFi....and our room was lovely when we returned....the ice was delivered minutes after we re-entered our room. I mention Joe Joe because he seemed to light up with delight whenever we approached, but the entire staff was magnificent from the ladies who made up our room to Claudia in the breakfast room, to each of the front desk people, to both bar managers. My only recommendation is to be sure each guest receives the hotel owner's handbook upon check-in. This handbook was so helpfuhat we referred to it more than to Trip Advisor for recommendations. I only found out about the handbook when I read other reviews on Trip Advisor.

Room Tip: try to avoid street side rooms if you are noise sensitive

The most amazing hotel in Rome! Visited from San Francisco for 3 nights for anniversary and it was the perfect location! Just a few blocks from The Spanish Steps. Amazing design, clean, great staff. Dragosh was the best bar manager! You have to visit him! I wouldn't choose any other hotel in Rome.

We stayed here twice in 2 weeks, and our only problem was leaving each time.
The location is superb, between Piazza di Popolo and Piazza di Spagna, and within an easy walk of many of Rome's manifold attractions. There are also great restaurants and cafes nearby, and the staff are very happy to recommend and make bookings if necessary.
The building has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are well laid out and spacious, and the fittings, furnishings, linen etc are of the highest quality.
The roof terrace is a great place for breakfast or an evening drink, and the quality and variety of the breakfast were excellent.
The staff were wonderful: friendly without being intrusive, and exceptionally helpful. We needed to move rooms (see comment below), and it was arranged without any fuss or drama although the hotel was fully booked at the time.
You can no doubt stay at cheaper hotels in Rome, but I don't think you could stay in better.
Don't miss it!

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back of the building or in the annex across the...

We stayed here for five nights during our honeymoon. What a fabulous place - excellent location in the heart of the city and within walking distance to almost everything. The room was large, with an amazing bathroom, a coffee machine, fast wi-fi and the most comfortable bed. We didn't want to leave. Everything was clean, and the room was quiet.

The service at the hotel was excellent, Teodora was brilliant whenever we spoke to her - from checking in, restaurant recommendations/reservations, booking taxis and even printing vouchers. She also organised a few special treats for us, given it was our honeymoon. We also loved the special guide on Rome created by the hotel's owner- we used many of the tips from this. Highly recommended, wonderful place to spend our honeymoon. Thank you!

Room Tip: We were staying in the new building, rooms were quiet. Though there are no big windows on this side.

Great location. Right in the heart of Rome. Professional and courteous staff. The room was well appointed and very spacious. The roof top bar has a cool ambience but unremarkable view. Great bathroom! Staff-recommended nearby restaurant was excellent.

We recently spent a couple of days in Rome. We wanted to be close to the attractions and found that Babuino 181 was positively reviewed in tripadvisor. We booked a room there and we're glad that we did. The hotel is exquisite - clean, modern and well furnised. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We'd recommend it to anyone who wants to be in the city.
