We spent a long time looking for a nice place to stay for our long weekend in Rome, and concluded with Babuino 181. We did not regret the decision! I can only confirm what other people have written about this excellent place. No doubt we will be coming back!
Great location. Nice and modern design room. Cute roof top for breakfast and afternoon drinks.
What really stood out was however the exceptional service - always welcomes by a big and genuine smile, and the staff goes above and beyond to help you with reservations and suggestions on what to do! The fantastic Teodora offered the best service we probably ever have experienced in a hotel!
The room and service was more like a 5. It was beautiful and spacious, elegantly decorated, with a large shower and bathtub. The concierge/front deskman Assem helped us plan out our days and he did it with care for our enjoyment of rome. He really made our trip special. Location is excellent, 5 min walk from Spanish steps.
Tip - request to be dropped off at via babuino, in piazza de populo. If you get dropped off on the other accessible side of babuino, you may have a long walk with luggage.
My fiancé and had a sensational time when we stayed at Babuino 181 in June 2014. The rooms are superb - spacious, modern, beautiful finishings and clean. The staff are some of the best you will find in Rome, especially the concierge/hotel manager. This is our favourite part of Roma, so the location is perfect - right near the shops, restaurants and la dolce vita of the Piazza di Spagna. The roof top terrazzo is a great place for breakfast or an evening aperitvo. In short, if you are a couple looking for a great hotel in the heart of the best part of Roma this is hard to top.

We stayed four four nights in the first week of August with our two teens . We were given the choice of connecting rooms across from main hotel or rooms 201 and 301 in main building . We chose the main building because the front desk service is there as well as breakfast area/ garden terrace . We were happy with our choice . Rooms were modern , spacious , clean with very comfortable beds and linens .no problem with city noise - the windows are double thick . Hotel us in a great location . Near taxi stand at piazza popolo, near Spanish steps and good restaurants nearby . Lobby area is very small. Breakfast area is in a roof top terrace which is pleasant . The breakfast selection was adequate but not quite as nice as in our other stops in Italy . The main difference were the choices of meats and cheeses which seemed more commercial than at other hotels we stayed in. There was juice, cereals , nice fresh fruit , croissants and other pastries . A couple of hot items which were not great .
Very nice front desk staff which were helpful in finding restaurants and booking a private tour at the lady minute of the vatican which was excellent . Would recommend the tour company they used .
Overall our stay was great and we would stay there again

It was everything we expected and more! Staff we amazing, polite and prompt. Rooms and furnishings were beautiful, well designed and comfortable. Just like being at home with an extra touch of luxe. Loved the area, in the Spanish Steps quarter.
Can't wait for an excuse to stay again - already planning our next trip!
