We spent 4 nights here (Sept 17-21) at the end of our 17 night holiday in Italy. We arrived by train from Naples and having never been in Rome were a bit challenged to find the hotel. Using our map we did come upon it in about 10 or 15 minutes. It is truly just a stroll from the main Termini/ train station.
The property is modern and has only been open for just over a year. It is close to all of the main attractions and historic sites, except the Vatican (although we did walk back from there).
The rooms are small but nicely furnished. The rooftop deck is really a great idea and we met many nice people there in the evenings.
The hotel also sent out notes before and after our stay which we felt were a nice touch.
Our only criticism of the property is that although they encourage you to bring food into your room, there is nothing there (no cups, glasses, bowls or cutlery) and you have to purchase or acquire these elsewhere if you want to eat or drink in your room. Also, the bed is hard (like a futon).
They called us a private car for our departure from Rome airport which was a very nice Mercedes sedan versus the typical small cabs in Rome.

4 nights we stayed at the hotel IQ Roma, the hotel is new, clean, organized, modern and mostly comfortable. The room has a great size, with excellent bedding. Breakfast plentiful and set. roofing in a space with chairs and sofas very nice, not to mention the optimal location, close to everything. we must keep two bags for 5 days when we went to Positano, the hotel kept them and not charged for it. dont think twice if you are looking for hotel in Rome, this should be your choice!

This hotel lived up to all the reviews. Great value in an expensive city. The location was ideal to walk to most of what Rome has to offer. The vending machines, which were incredibly reasonable, and the roof terrace were both an added bonus!

We stayed here for 5 nights and were not disappointed. For us, the location is ideal, within walking distance for us of the main ancient sights, and close to many restaurants and cafes. It's also close to the Repubblicia metro station (5 minutes walk at most), and right next door to a bank, for ATM withdrawals. The area itself is fine, and always busy, day and night.

The hotel itself is as described in other reviews: modern, clean, with vending machines that sell anything from chocolate to alcohol for very, very reasonable prices, a self service laundry and ironing board/iron which was much appreciated (the machine dispenses the detergent so no need to buy any, and the outside terrace for breakfast. The spread at breakfast was fine, lovely fruit along with toast, pastries, hot food, yoghurt etc, and two coffee machines.

The rooms are spacious for Europe and the bed is firm and comfortable. Our room face Via Firenz and the Opera House. We had a small balcony which was nice for some fresh air. And most important, it's quiet. We heard the occasional plumbing noise, but couldn't hear anything from other rooms, which was a pleasant surprise The staff at the front desk were professional, and always said hello as we walked in the door.

While you could probably find cheaper hotels, IQ Roma is great value for money, and I'd highly recommend it.

Room Tip: As others have said, ask for a Room on Via Firenz, levels 4 or 5.

We spent 3 nights here in early September, and would definitely stay here again. It was quiet, clean, and tastefully furnished. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke very good English. They offer a reasonably priced rooftop breakfast with good selections and quality. It is a 5 minute walk to the Republica metro stop, and we felt very safe walking around the area. It was less than 15 Euros for a taxi ride to just about any other tourist location we went to. The only down side is that the beds are rock hard, and didn't make for the best night's sleep.

Really enjoyed this hotel in Rome. Good reviews say it all. It is clean, modern and has everthing you need in a good central location. Felt very safe out at night although it is close to Termini station which has a bad reputation. Vending machines are an excellent idea for making after dinner drinks affordable as the bars can be very expensive. Rooftop terrace is an excellent area for socialising with friends. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome who enjoys modern boutique hotels. Best restauraant we found was 10 minute walk from hotel - Tori de Imperiali

Room Tip: We had room which sleot 4 people and found it spacious and comfortable

Very very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Extremely comfortable beds, unless you like soft and sloppy ones. All basic amenities in good prices. E.g 1 bottle ice tea for 1 euro. In kiosks it costs 3,50 and in shops sometimes 1,29 or 1,45 even. Stayed 2 nights in iq and 5 in waldorf Astoria. Next time will choose IQ anytime.
Only slight downside, male staff at the desks didn't seem too willing or helpful in providing info as compared to the female staff who was very nice.
