We stayed in the Althea Inn for 3 nights while in Rome and were very impressed by the lovely room as well as Alessandro's hopitality.
Even before we arrived, Alessandro was prompt in responding to our emails and providing tips on how to avoid queues during our short time in Rome, which proved invaluable as we breezed past the throng of people at the Vatican museum!
The room itself was faultless - clean, good-sized, well-managed and to top it off, it has a little private terrace where we could enjoy breakfast each morning. There is also a safe, and free wifi which may be small things but definitely much appreciated!
Breakfast was sent to our room each morning and we couldn't have asked for better - croissants, bread, fruit salad, ham, cheese and coffee.
Althea Inn is a 5-min walk to Pyramide, the nearest metro station which is 4 stops away from Termini, the main train station. It's also a 20-min walk to the Colosseum. There are off licenses, restaurants and bars nearby which are excellent. We highly recommend La Fata Ignorante and Enoteca. Bear in mind though that Althea Inn isn't located in the centre of Rome. That said it was easy enough for us to get around on buses and the metro.More
