“Excellent choice”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Villa Urbani is an excellent choice if you want to stay in Trastevere. It is a short if somewhat steep walk away from the hustle and bustle, restaurants and bars of Trastevere. The beautiful villa dates from 1920s and has belonged to the family from 1930s. The B&B has been converted on the floor 5 years ago.

Our room was spacious with high ceilings, two windows and en-suite bathroom. It was warm in late September so we slept window open and we were not disturbed by passing traffic. There is also AC for those very warm days.

The breakfast was nice enough, good coffee. Laura offered help when needed and the 40€ transfer to/from the airport is a good option.

Stayed at this villa late September and loved the location close to the river and historical attractions. The street is full of beautiful buildings and if you walk up the street you get an amzing view of Rome. It is a short walking distance from the restaurants and perfect to walk back after dinner. Laura is a great hostess and made us feel very welcome. The room was beautiful and elegantly furnished and the villa's common area has really nice furniture also. We had breakfast on the roof terrace one morning which was nice too. Take advantage of the 40 euros private car to the airport if you have to fly out of Rome.

Just back from a stay at Villa Urbani. The location is fantastic, we went everywhere by foot which had the added bonus of burning up the carb calories consumed.
The hotel is very clean and Laura is very welcoming. The breakfast was served on the lovely roof terrace and consisted of warm rolls, ham, cheese, cake and pastries.
Highly recommended!

We stayed for 1 night, 2 adults and our 3 kids (8,5,2 yrs) and we all were very pleased with our stay. All our family fitted more than well in a huge room with comfortable beds for all of us. We also appreciated the air-conditioning as it was almost 40 degrees celsius outside. Beautiful house and perfect location with walking distance almost to all the main sights. Laura is a fantastic host making the stay even more comfortable.

Villa Urbani is located on the outskirts of the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome. You are within walking distance of everything yet the Villa is quiet and peaceful. Our room was huge, the breakfast was good and our hostess Laura was very kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I loved this B&B, which is in a beautiful part of Trastevere. We arrived in the afternoon and was welcomed by Laura who made us a lovely Espresso. The house was incredible, we stayed in the family room which was huge (5 metre high ceilings) and had everything you'd need, it overlooked the side of the Garden. Everywhere seemed within easy reach especially Gianicolo which was only a short walk away and has the most amazing views of Rome. Laura was a great host and prepared breakfast for us on the Roof Terrace, we stayed for 2 nights and would highly recommend staying at Villa Urbani.

Villa Urbani is the perfect place to stay for young travelers looking for a comfortable bed and breakfast. I stayed with three of my friends in her 4 person family suite. The room and property were fantastic, clean and a pleasure to stay in. Laura is an extremely nice woman who made us breakfast every morning and helped us navigate the city.

For younger travelers under 25, villa urbani is located walking distance to Trastevere which is an incredible, young area filled with bars and restaurants. I looked for hostels in Trastevere and chose Villa Urbani and could not have been happier. It has a perfect location to go out at night and have a good time. Definitely provided us a nice break from staying in hostels during our trip.
