“Excellent location, staff and rooms!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

We stayed at Navona this month, from the 13th to the 16th. and i must say we had a super stay. the hotel has very nice rooms, could be noisy at times, after all the place is buzzing with people, but that too adds to the beauty of living so close to the Piazza Navona. The staff Emma and Julia at the reception are wonderful warm and helpful people. The breakfast is nice - not very elaborate but a decent and very likeable spread. Right below the hotel there are these small bars and restaurants that serve very nice and yet reasonable food and house wines. Overall a very happy stay - Full marks on location, staff and rooms!

Using Trip Advisor's reviews we booked for 5 nights and kept our fingers crossed. We were so happy with our stay, we didn't want to leave. Our room was large with a living area. The bed was king size (not common for Italy) and comfy. The room and most importantly, the bathroom was spotless. Our room reservation came with spa services but we were so busy walking to all the sights of Roma, we didn't get a chance to use the spa. We loved the location and strolled to the Narvona Piazza at all hours, for different lighting and crowds for perfect pictures. Our room did have a coffee maker but only a few doors down was a place for early morning fresh brewed latte and pastries. We did stay in to watch television when we were exhausted for seeing the amazing sights all day. A cleaners in located around the corner to catch up on our laundry. We walked to all the sights in Roma. From the Vatican to the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and more. Remember to try a few words in Italian on your vacation, you will be treated much nicer, we saw plenty of loud, obnoxious Americans :( Enjoy Italy, its wonderful.

Room Tip: We had a room on the street (its barely a street, more like a cobble stone sidewalk) but it can be n...

This hotel was reasonably priced for the area. Reviews all said noisy and it is true. Located above restaurants. But all and all a good place. Clean. We were in walking distance of every major attraction. Never took the bus, train or taxi. Of course a walk in Rome could be up to a mile.

Room Tip: Great location

We stayed at the Navona Palace for 5 days in May. We had a brilliant time.

Our room, Tiziano 3, was fabulous: We had a living room with fully equipped kitchenette (with coffee maker!), a large bedroom, bathroom and - best of all - a large sunny sun terrace complete with sun loungers, a table and chairs. Our group also had 2 junior suites. These were really nice as well - but didn't have balconies.

The rooms were modern, stylish and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping was really attentive and did a great job. We also thought the receptionists were super nice - very helpful and always smiling.

We had breakfast on our terrace every morning. There's a very nice corner shop / deli just downstairs where we picked up a few basics - fresh bread, prosciutto, etc. We didn't try the breakfast buffet in the hotel - it seemed quite expensive and we'd rather sit outside! You can also grab breakfast in any of the little cafes surrounding the hotel - they are all pretty nice.

The location is simply fab. Piazza Navona is 1 min from the hotel, the Pantheon and Campo de' Fiori less than 10 mins each. You can reach all major sights on foot. Via del Governo Vecchio is just behind the hotel and there are lots of fabulous restaurants and bars there - and they are not quite as touristy (read: rip-off expensive) as the ones on Piazza Navona. We had a few great meals there.

Some of the reviewers here said that the hotel was really noisy. We didn't notice this at all. There are bars and restaurants in the area, so if you have your windows wide open, you will hear them. But the rooms are all double glazed and it's completely quiet when you close them.

One extra piece of advice: Use the hotel's car service for your airport transfers. It only costs €2 more than the regular taxi fare, but they stop directly in front of the hotel. Most normal taxi drivers will drop you off at Piazza Navona to avoid the narrow streets beyond, which isn't great it you've got heavy suitcases to lug around!

We will definitely stay at the Navona Palace again if we return to Rome!

Room Tip: We were in Tiziano 3, a suite with an amazing, large balcony. Perfect for breakfast in the sun :)

The Navona Palace is an excellent hotel. Perfectly situated for the Piazza Navona, the Vatican and most other attractions in Rome. It is situated in classic cobbled streets which give you a real feel of Rome.
The room (3-adults) was perfect with high ceilings, air conditioning, mini bar and espresso machine. The room had a daily maid and were immaculate, very clean. The staff were very helpful. We did eat in the hotel as the breakfast price was a little expensive so chose to get breakfast local. Our room didn't overlook the street but had two layers of double glazing. I think a room which overlooked the street would have a nicer view but may be noisy at night.
When we return to Rome we will definitely stay here again.

The positive: Navona Palace is a fresh apartement hotel with a great location. Exceptionally noisy, but that comes with the location. Our room (Botticelli 2) was nice, no complaints there.
But the negative far outweighs the positive: In spite of what is stated in the booking confirmation, they will reserve the cost of the entire stay on your credit card from the moment you make your reservation. Not just a deposit, but the whole sum. This hotel is way too expensive, the staff is rude and disinterested and the breakfast is poor and overpriced ( you get a full buffet breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants at half the price). In spite of the rooms and the location: There is very little Charme in this Residenze.

Had a great stay at Navona Palace as a family of four. Excellent quality rooms, friendly staff and a superb location spoilt for choice with great bars and restaurants on the doorstep and walking distance to all major sights. Not cheap but well worthwhile and will be our first choice next time we're in Rome.
