“Excellent Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

We were in Rome for two nights at Vatican View. Excellent service. Very attentive employees. Close to interesting places to dine. Would stay again. Art in the hotel rooms is very nice. Good lighting. Comfortable beds. Could not have asked for a better hotel experience!!!

The Relais Vatican View is in a great location for visiting St Peter's and the Vatican, and it is an eight minute walk from the metro. There are a handful of terrific small restaurants nearby and the staff, as all have noted, are super helpful. Our room was fine, I really liked the enormous lamp shade hung from the wooden beamed ceiling, but we must have gotten a small room compared to the other reviewers. (This was the smallest room we had in our three city tour of Italy) Loved the fact that the windows must have been double glazed to keep out street noise. Beyond that, the bathroom was not big, and unfortunately had an odor - not because of lack of cleanliness - but just a lurking smell which seemed to be somewhat masked by a deodorizer. I felt this hotel was a great value, but ask for a larger room.

Room Tip: Ask for a larger room with a tub, and look at it before you settle in

Dear Experienc,

I'm so sorry for this incovenience about the bad smell.. If I had known earlier, I would have called the technician to fix the problem. Anyway, sometimes, when it rains in Rome, this happens :( sorry again.
Relais Vatican View has three kind of rooms.. standard, deluxe and suite. The standard, the room that you booked, has a normal size, but if you have many luggage, maybe it's better the deluxe because it's bigger. Of course it is a little more expensive.. It depends on what your needs are, for this reason I always advise to call or send us an e-mail before that you make the reservation. It will be a pleasure to help you :)

Please, come back again at the Vatican View Hotel! I promise you a deluxe double room without bad small :D

Regards,

Alessandra.

The Vatican View has three stars but in our opinion, it should be on the level of a 4 star hotel. The staff was always friendly and helped us every time. We were very well advised and they treated us like friends at all times. (Thank you guys for all the support). The rooms were very big for Italian standards. We found a modern, comfortable and clean room. The hotel was very centrally located and only about 2 minutes from the Vatican by foot. The public transport were in immediate vicinity.

We were happy to have spent our time in such an amazing place and will recommend this hotel to everyone and spend our next stay in Rome there again.

My family and I just stayed at the Vatican View hotel for a week, and can't say enough good things about. From the perfect location (just a block from St. Peter's Square), to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the experience at this establishment was nothing short of excellent. The rooms are modern, clean and are well taken care of. You won't find a better hotel experience for your stay in Rome.

Our family just returned from a week vacation in Rome. My husband and I and our two teenage sons stayed at the Vatican View hotel. It was the BEST place to stay! The location was EXCELLENT and the hotel staff were AMAZING! Daniel, Alessandra and Antonio THANK YOU so much for all your help and extra special attention to any needs that we had! Our rooms were very clean, internet access was great and the roof terrace was a perfect place for morning breakfast. What a blessing to eat breakfast with a view of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. Restaurants, markets, shopping and the Metro stop were all very close and definitely within walking distance. We were able to walk to all of the major sights in Rome. Vatican City is literally a one minute walk from the hotel! When we visit Rome again....there is no question that we will stay at the Vatican View again! Thanks again Daniel and Alessandra!!!

Room Tip: We had two rooms that had the kitchen and closet space. We were in rooms 104 and 314. The bathroom...

We recently returned from a fantastic week in Rome and can highly recommend the Vatican View. The apartments are clean modern and stylish and as the name suggests in a wonderful location, it has a great roof terrace which we used every evening to chill out with a bottle of Red after long days sightseeing. But what really makes your stay at the Vatican View complete are the staff, Daniel, Alessandra and Fabio really could not have been more helpful, they really seem to care that guests have a great stay. Many thanks for helping to make our time in your wonderful city such a good one.
