“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

We booked Termini Gold based on previous good reviews, and its location. We were not disappointed. Alberto made us very welcome from the moment we arrived, and kept in contact regularly to ensure that everything was ok. This B &B was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Its close proximity to the Manzoni Metro station made it very easy to get around Rome. Thanks again, Alberto!

Termini Gold is a 4 room BnB. It is located close to the Roma Termini station and is close to the colosseum (20mins walk). The neighbourhood isnt great but its safe and there r a couple of nice pizzerias close by. Theres also a gelato place couple of mins away which gives great ice cream at low prices (also is the oldest ice cream factory in Rome).. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is limited to croissants/bread/milk n juice but its fresh and adequate. Alberto, the host is very helpful and disciplined. He gave us all the directions and tips on getting around Rome with ease. Overall it was a very pleasant stay in Rome for us. Thanks Alberto
cheers

My husband and I found Termini Gold B&B to be an awesome place to stay in Rome. Close enough to Termini station to allow for easy trundling of our suitcases and central to the heart of Rome so that we could walk everywhere to see the sights such as the Colosseum, the Forum, Trevi Fountain etc. Our room was quite spacious, quiet and very comfortable with shower accessories, including disposable slipper/slides provided. The whole B&B was spotlessly clean. Best of all though was the wonderful proprietor, Alberto. He was knowledgeable and helpful with maps and advice for sightseeing. Nothing was too much trouble for him - he really wants his guests to feel comfortable and happy! He even went to the trouble of minding a box of our stuff for us when we found ourselves in a pickle with closed post offices and a bus tour looming. We highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: We shared a bathroom with another room but there is an ensuite option if this is preferred.

Overall positive experience. This is a nice, well kept 3 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor of an apartment building which has been converted for use as a b&b. It is decorated with nice, modern IKEA style furniture. Bed is a relatively comfortable large size bed. It was essentially two twin mattresses together on a day bed style frame. There was a tv in the room with a few Italian stations available. Size of the place is similar to a nice hostel or a typical big city/NYC apartment. Provided with towels, bathroom slippers, shampoo, etc and other nice extra amenities. I believe one bedroom has it's own bathroom and then the other is shared between 2 bedrooms and is located in the hallway. Each bedroom has it's own door lock and a small safe for valuable items. The bathroom also has a lock which locks from the inside so you don't have to worry about someone walking in on you. We never had any issues with not being able to get into the bathroom when needed/wanted since it's only shared with one other room. Breakfast is minimal but acceptable and definitely tasty enough for the price: croissants, bread slices, biscuits, Nutella, jam and butter, 2 types of cereal with milk, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, tea. The coffee was very very tasty as it is made with an expensive machine that grinds the coffee per cup. Im not sure if this is typical of the place, but in the 4 nights we stayed there is was mostly couples or pairs of people. I loved this about the place because we didn't have to deal with loud crying kids or families. Apartment is very near Milano centrale Freccia train station and a few metro stops. Area is average. It isn't nearly as nice as the Spanish steps, Vatican, or other ritzier areas, but again for the price you can't beat it. Alberto was very nice, accommodating, and helpful. A bit weird was that we had to sign something upon arrival in order to check in stating we won't post pictures to trip advisor, but obviously this would not be enough of a turn off not to stay there. I would definitely stay here again if I came to Rome again and was in the same financial situation- quite the bargain and you get a lot for your money!

Our room was meticulously clean and quiet. The breakfast is self-serve in the apartment's kitchen, and more than adequate, including yogurt, juice, cereal as well as croissants and toasts etc., etc. - we filled up.

Alberto has thought of everything, and runs a tight ship. He's obviously had some bad experiences with guests, though - the many rules made things feel less than completely welcoming to us. We felt a bit on edge. It's also a bit further than other Termini hotel locations.

Dear guest, thanks for sharing your impressions on your stay.

My parents teached me that, if you want to be a good traveler, you have to respect the rules and the laws of the place where you are (house, region, nation) and trying to understand the meaning behind those rules. This is what I do when I’m a guest and I would like the others do when they are guests in my structure.
Unfortunately some people thinks to be “alone in the universe” and that their actions have not consequences on others; that’s why, when people arrives to my B&B, I make them sign a document with 4 (four) main rules to respect ( I apply penalties). These are the rules:

1) it is not possible to smoke : this B&B is a no-smoking structure and it is written on every websites where the B&B is published
2) the kitchen can be used only for the breakfast, it is not possible to cook : this is a Bed & Breakfast not a Bed & Restaurant.
3) breakfast time is 07:30/11:00 and it is not possible having breakfast before 07:30 and after 11:00 : all the hotels & B&Bs work this way, it is normal.
4) You can make photo of the structure but you can’t publish them on websites or social. networks. Like or not, you are guest in my house and I have the right to maintain my privacy and the privacy of the other guests.

The meaning of these “common sense” rules, is to ensure the comfort of all the guests, you included : it is no good to enter in a house that smells like a kitchen, it is no good to stay in a room that smells of cigarettes, it is no good to be waked up in the middle of the night by people chatting in the kitchen and it is no good to make photo without permission. All these things happened, and I don’t what to happen anymore, that’s why I ask to the people to sign the document I was talking up there.
According to this site, the 96% of my guests appreciate , you didn’t, I’m sorry for you, you probably need an apartment all for you, and this is not the philosophy of the B&B, where you have to share the spaces with other people and respect the others.

Thanks again for sharing your sensations with us, you gave me the chance to explain my direction running this B&B

This is a very nice and neat BB which offers you all the basic essentials. The room is very clean and we had the room with bathroom attached.

A distance from the metro station but it gets better once u know your way around.

The breakfast is generous and we enjoyed the breakfast during our 3 nights stay. Nice croissants, bread, spreads.

We enjoyed our stay at the B&B Termini Gold a lot. Was friendly and welcoming from the beginning. Alberto helped us in any case. The rooms are clean and thought through. The value for money is absolutely acceptable. We'll definitely choose it again next time!
