We took the Ancient Rome Tour with Margherita Ciampaglia on June 16th 2013. Margherita's depth of knowledge, preparation and passion went above and beyond our expectations. We highly recommend to anyone who is interesed in touring Rome to specifically request Margherita as their tour guide. Forty and Fabulous Four from Canada!

“Roman Dolce Vita Tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2013

Tour guide was great! She really knew her history! Geared it towards her audience, which was really nice!
Perfect amount of time to cover Rome... Would have liked to end near columseam, but so much to see!

My wife and I had a tour today with Vanessa an archaeologist . The tour covered the colosseum and forum. Vanessa was a delight and her enthusiasm and knowledge was one of the highlights of our 3 week Italy trip.

“Great fun and great value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2013

We took the Dolce Vita tour and we really enjoyed it. The guide was very nice, friendly and very professional. We learnt a lot about Rome but the style of the visit was very relaxed. We paid around 50 euro per person and it was worth it.

“Trastevere Trends and Traditions - highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2013

I ended up having a private tour through the Trastevere neighbourhood with Vanessa, an archeologist with famly roots in the area. She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, pointing out different features in churches that I would have missed and taking me to a delicious bakery for a snack. Noticing a tiny church had just opened its doors for the afternoon, she excitedly showed me inside to look at frescoes nearly a thousand years old. I really enjoyed hearing her stories about family who had lived in the area, making it a more personal experience. This tour is a great way to explore an area that doesn't attract the tourist crowds and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to see a different side of Rome. Mille grazi Vanessa!
