“EXCELLENT BB, EXCELLENT EVERYTHING!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2011

We visited The Peace of Rome 7/11May, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit due to the hospitality of Daniele and Simone, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean, very comfortable beds, the hospitality tray was excellent and we would recommend the bb to everybody.
Located five minutes from the Vatican was very convenient for us and we found all the historic sites very easy to walk to.
We thought the breakfast provided at the local cafe was good and the staff there polite and very quick to serve you.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday and we would would certainly return to the Peace of Rome

We had found the B&B on Trip Advisor and thought that all the positive reviews meant we should give the place a try. We were very pleased. The B&B was clean and modern, not what you would expect when you see the outside of the building. The B&B is located in the Prati area of Rome very close to the Vatican and about a 5 minute walk to the Ottaviano metro stop. We found the B&B very easy to get to, from Ciampino we got the Sit Bus Shuttle to Termini and from there we took Metro line A to Ottaviano. From Ottaviano we walked the 5 minutes to the B&B. The room had a comfortable double bed, and an en suite with a shower, sink, wc and bidet. Breakfast was provided by a café just a few doors down the road. The breakfast would best be described as adequate, a coffee, a croissant (flavours varied everyday but you weren’t given a choice), a small glass of OJ, a cold hard boiled egg, a slice of toast and a yoghurt (again with varied flavours but no choice). Not a spectacular breakfast but it did the job, we didn’t expect it to last us all day but it did last us until lunchtime. The check in process was very smooth and Livio, Daniele and Simona were lovely, very helpful and friendly, giving us advice on where to go and where to eat. Check out was just as smooth and we were given the chance to leave our bags until we were ready to leave Rome. This was a very nice touch and one we took advantage of, they even leant us the spare key and let us use the wc. I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at A Peace of Rome and couldn't have been more pleased. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport, which was so helpful to us as weary travelers never having been to Rome before. Both Daniele and Livio were there to greet us at the B&B. Daniele spent time with us showing us where the best sites are on the map and explaining how to use the transportation system. Most things, though, are within easy walking distance of the B&B.
Rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and modern. Breakfast at the little cafe across the street was more than adequate and it was fun to see the comings and goings of people in the neighborhood. After leaving Rome for the rest of our trip, we returned to spend our last night there before flying home. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked our last night with them at their other B&B, A View of Rome, since A Peace of Rome was booked for that night. That was a great experience as well. Would definitely stay at either place again and would recommend to my friends.

We have just stayed at A Peace of Rome for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Daniele, Simone & Livo could not have been more helpful, wonderful advice was given which meant no time was wasted on trying to decided where to go and when. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel, or near to public transport if you want to save your feet. The breakfast at the cafe over the street is large enough to last for a late lunch. Rooms are of a good size and spotlessly clean and well furnished, you can get the odd bit of street noise at night but nothing to bad. Staying here just added to the wonderful experience of Rome and the beautiful city it is. Will definitely be staying here when we visit Rome again.

I stayed here for 6 nights with by wife and baby and was very impressed with every aspect of A Peace of Rome. The service from Daniele and Simona was superlative, and the room was very modern and clean, well insulated from the noisy streets and nicely air-conditioned. It is a 5-10 min walk to the Vatican and Castel St Angelo and also well connected by bus and metro to the rest of Rome. There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding streets.

Breakfast is a treat, because unlike most places you are not tucked up inside your hotel, but instead are at a local cafe across the road, eating side-by-side with the Romans. The food is delicious and plentiful, and accompanied by an excellent cappuccino.

To top all that off, there was fast free wifi available in our room, which helped to plan our days of sightseeing.

We stayed here for 1 night after returning from a Mediterranean cruise. We originally tried to stay at their other B&B but it was sold out. This B&B was located a few blocks from the Vatican City and many other sites. The room was very clean and very modern looking in an old building with lots of charm. Daniele was an excellent host and was extremely helpful with great tips for sightseeing. Would return again. Great value for money...highly recommended!

This spotless B&B truly measured up to the reviews we had read. Daniele and Simona could not have been more helpful: telling us how to travel around Rome on local transport, where to eat (and the recommended restaurants were perfect), even allowing us to store luggage after checking out and to use the bathroom and lobby while we waited for our transport. Our room very comfortably held us and our teenage daughter, with ample space, new furnishings and a clean, modern style - with the only minor drawback being a lack of drawers/shelves in our room. The location is minutes from the Vatican, metro and bus. When our coins in the Trevi Fountain bring us back to Rome, there is no question that this is where we will stay.

Room Tip: Listen to all Daniele's travel tips!
