“Fantastic Experience! Location, Location, Location!”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

First of all Barbara was absolutely charming. We met Giorgio later on and he was wonderful as well. The room was clean, neat and had all you could want. Even HDMI outputs on the tv so we could review our days shots from the camera. It was quiet and quiet comfortable, and gave us the sensation of what it would be like to rent an apartment in Rome, (ah, the dreams).

The location could not be better. About a few blocks from Trevi Fountain, (go and take pictures at 5 am and you'll get the best shots with no one around), it was absolutely the greatest central location. We walked to Vittorio Emmanuel monument, to the Coliseum, The Pantheon, and even took walk all the way to the Vatican. Again, if you are looking for a place to make your command post, this is the place.

Our last night, Giorgio recommended a restaurant to go to (our 30th anniversary) and we were blown away by how nice and attentive the staff was, not to mention the wonderful food. Barbara steered us the right way whenever we asked for advice and information and she was so cute we wanted to take her home with us.

I highly recommend Maison Tevi, as the place to go. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed at Maison Trevi for the second time and had a great experience. Giorgio, Diana, and Laura went out of their way to make it such a pleasant stay. They were very personable and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and directions to all the major sites. The rooms are large, and they provided bottles of water and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy! The rooms have a good air-conditioning system and were very clean. The hotel is situated on a quiet street, and it is a very short walk from the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Rome and will recommend to all our friends and family!

My daughter and I recently spent 5 nights at Maison Trevi and were extremely happy there. From the moment we arrived (in the middle of a thunderstorm) we felt very welcomed. Giorgio and his entire staff are amazing! Nothing is too much trouble for them. Barbie checked us in and gave us a map and a 20 minute delightful, informative talk about Rome. Every restaurant she suggested was amazing! Especially Hostaria Romano and Ciro Pizza! Laura was just as helpful every morning with all our questions. Giorgio arranged transportation from the airport which was terrific and also picked up tickets for us so that we were able to attend the weekly Papal Audience in St Peter's Square. The room we had (#1) was huge! Beds were comfortable, there is A/C, a safe in the room and the bathroom is large, modern and had the best shower of our entire stay in Italy. The location is terrific, 5 minutes from the Trevi Fountain and easy walk to all the major attractions. Vatican City is about a 30-35 minute walk but there is a subway stop 5 minutes from the hotel which is very convenient. There was also a lovely bottle of wine in our room when we arrived, which was a nice touch. Great value for a lovely room right in the heart of the Eternal City! Thank you Giorgio and staff for making our stay so wonderful!! We can't wait to return!!

The Maison Trevi is a really cool place to stay. For those who don't want to stay next to the Vatican, this is a perfect part of town to be in right near the Trevi Fountain. Our Innkeepers (Diane and Giorgio) were super attentive. They made arrangements to get us to and from the airport and to the Vatican on time. They suggested restaurants and we had the best pizza ever. When we arrived Diane helped us get the luggage upstairs and showed us around. Our room was quite large for Europe and they left us a bottle of wine to enjoy. If we every get back to Rome, we will definitely stay there again. Diane and Giorgio - Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

We started a week long holiday in Italy with 3 nights in Rome. We arrived late on the Friday evening and the requested taxi was waiting for us at the airport. When we arrived at the BnB, we were greeted by a very friendly Diana. She was very professional in checking us in and then took out half an hour (at around 10pm) to explain the must sees and the areas to avoid (for safetly) and also took the time out to show us the best routes to get to the top sites. Maison was round the corner from all the major sites and was very convenient to see Rome.

The accommodation was great and ample for what you need.

I would gladly recommend the accommodation and will definitely stay there again when I go back to Rome!!

We stayed in Maison Trevi for 1 night but I wish we'd stayed longer! We had 2 rooms a double and a triple. Maison Trevi is a very short walk from the Metro station Barberini which is only 2 away from Termini station, so very convenient if you are coming by public transport from the airport or train as we did from Naples.
Diana gave us a map and highlighted the best places to see nearby and the best places to eat for breakfast and dinner. She booked us a lovely restaurant very near the Trevi Fountain which was a bit of a find called Sora Lucia, cheap compared to other restaurants in Rome and lovely lovely pasta.
The rooms were fabulous, incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean with lovely new fittings - in fact it looked like it had only been fitted out recently. There was free water in the fridge and a complimentary bottle of wine in each room, which we had trouble finishing as 2 of our boys don't/are too young to drink.
The only downside was we were going back to England the next day as the accommodation was excellent and the area although touristy was cheaper than the area around Spanish Steps in which we had stayed previously.
Would highly recommend Maison Trevi as the best value option for a wonderful stay with a super friendly and helpful host and great rooms in the centre of Rome.

For sophisticated visitors of Rome who are ready and willing to walk & climb and who do not require a traditional hotel experience, the Maison Trevi is a fine choice.

Via Rasella is not a broad or particularly scenic. It's an old narrow one way lane convenient to Piazza Barberini, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps.

The Maison is actually a subdivided apartment on the 2nd floor of a very old and charming building. The steps (and perhaps hallway floors?) are tile or marble, so the arrival and departure of other guests is quite audible. If you have large bags, getting up to the apartments can be a chore.

The hosts are extremely pleasant and helpful. Rome is expensive. The price is competitive.

There is no breakfast but there are very convenient places nearby.
