“Very Bad Service”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

After seeing the high rating of this restaurant on Tripadvisor we decided to try the food at Ristorante Da Nino. We arrived at 3:05 and asked for a table for two. After reading the menu for a couple of minutes the waiter came and asked if we were ready to order but mentioned we would not be able to order any pastas. After finding this out we decided that we would just get a pizza to share and come back again for dinner if it was good. A couple of minutes after we placed the order the waiter came back with bread and asked if we wanted any drinks and when we replied no thank you he gave us an unfavorable look. Soon after this a lady (the owner?) came out and told us that we must order a minimum of two meals and two drinks or to go and eat at a pizzeria. We decided to go somewhere else which also angered the lady because we had started to eat one of the pieces of bread the waiter had brought out after we had placed our order.

“Everything I miss about Rome”
Reviewed 20 October 2013 via mobile

We loved this place. It was rather late as we where heading back to our hotel. We sat outside and loved the neighborhood and just people watching. My lasagna was perfect and the seasonal fruit was excellent. There are only a few tables outside but if the weather is livable take the opportunity. When I get back to Rome this will be one of the first places I will go.

“Traditional Roman Restaurant”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

Have been to Nino three times over the past few years - once as a couple and other times with groups of friends.
Service and food great - traditional Roman fare, offering a wide selection of food that you don't find in sidewalk eateries located close by.
Waiters have a certain air! Some with a sense of humour, which all adds to the charm
A relaxed atmosphere, but this does not mean standards or service lowered. (If your male companion is wearing shorts they will not be admitted - this happened to us one evening and he had to go back to hotel and change!!) - no one was offended.
If you like it loud and brash, then this restaurant is not for you
This is the real Rome and prices are comparable with those tourist eateries close by.

“Don't miss this pearl”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

Did pass by Ristorante Da Nino a evening on the way to Coliseum. It was the only restaurant that the locally people stayed at. All other restaurants was empty. Did go back there for dinner the next evening.

Nino did fix a baby chair to our baby, and did make some recommendation what was the best.

Didn’t regret it at all. Was very good food and great service.
Our little girl did get a tour in the kitchen and was enjoying the evening.
Don’t make the tourist mistake and think you can combine your own dish.

Is a place to go back to next time in Rome.
