We were in Rome for three days and almost every day we went to Trevi. The water fountain is just beautiful.
Try to reach early to get the picture .
At time it may be shut due to cleaning of the fountain to take out the coins.

We chose to do a walking self directed tour to the Trevi Fountain... although crowded it is a true sight to see. As in any city one must take care as the crowd level is quite high. This is a beautiful sight to behold.... when finished the sight there are many restaurants and shopping in the same area.... good place for a self directed on foot tour.

Must see this beautiful fountain which is near the Spanish Steps.
If you go very early in am around 7, no one is there!
If you go in evening, wall to wall people.
Taxis, restaurants, gelato shops all right there.
Next to the Colosseum and Vatican, one of the main highlights in Rome.
You cannot leave Rome without seeing this!

What do you call 5000 Asians pushing forward with cameras and aggression? Trevi Fountain. Went there, saw the chaos and left. Good luck.

be careful here as many opportunities to get pickpocketed when yo u are distracted. very small square and heaving with people, beautiful fountain and if you wait awhile you can get close. worth the visit.
