“Great day out in Rome”
Reviewed 11 July 2012

Villa Borghese is one of the nicest parks in Rome. The Borghese Museum with its Bernini sculptures is amazing, but be sure to book ahead. There are a few play areas for chlidren as well as a small lake for rowing on. The car free roads are perfect for skating and cycling

“Don't miss this.”
Reviewed 10 July 2012

Take the audio tour and if possible read up in advance - you will only have TWO hours and they mean it. Be on time - reserve before leaving home. You will be astounded by the ceilings that look to be 3D carvings and marble and are actually just painted. The wealth and holdings of the Borghese family (Cardinal Borghese) is astounding. He was nephew of the pope and they say the word nepotism arose from this "unholy" arrangement. Incredible sculpture, art and paintings - really a treat.

Reviewed 9 July 2012

If you are looking for nice, green and colder place in Rome during hot summer days there is place worth to visit. Next to it is also ZOO park so, could be also nice to see, especially travelling with children.

“Wish it was closer to the city”

Beautiful museum with comprehensive guide sheets for each of about 27 nicely appointed rooms. This is a great spot for art buffs, which i am not.

“Imagine growing up here!!”
Reviewed 9 July 2012

A most fabulous collection of painting and sculpture housed in an architectural phenomenon surrounded by magnificent gardens smack in the middle of Rome! You must remember that in order to view it you must make reservations in advance. That is easily accomplished online, but you can't get in without doing it. You are only allowed 2 hours to see the whole thing, so you might want to plan more than one session!
