“Best hotel that I had ever been”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2011

This hotel is like a dream.. Unique and very romantic.. It is fully furnished by special replicas of art and antiques..

If possible try to stay in an Executive room so that you can enjoy the greatest view of the Rome and Vatican City from your room and the lounge.. The wines and the alcoholic beverages were great at lounge but the food during lunch time was a little disappointing.. But you will love the dinner time, they are serving great foods..

The hotel is a little outside the city center but they have a very nicely settled shuttles leaving very frequently.. Also there are many taxis waiting in front of the hotel, so that you can take one of them to get to the closest metro station in order to take the metro if you are in a hurry... Since Rome has a terrible traffic, sometimes metro can be a great idea...

Perfect hotel to spend honeymoon, romantic holiday or anniversary.. The staff will treat you as king...

The Rome Cavalieri executive floor excels in accommodations and service staff is outstanding. The Cavalieri has the most spectacular views of Rome setting on the hills above Rome. Being up in the hills above Rome has its draw backs, it it means you have to take a free shuttle to the city (about 25 minutes) , but the hours are somewhat limited and you might end up with having to take a taxi, but the location is worth it for the views. Dining is a very positive, but expensive, experience and you will want for nothing, they have it all. Not many other dining locations available in the area so you need to go into Rome for other dining options.

Room Tip: Ask for Rome city view rooms and request executive floor, is worth the expense.

My parents and I and my husband stayed for 4 nights. The rooms were spacious with nice decoration and functional design. We were expecting a nice view of the city from the balcony but our floor was not high enough and we could only see the gardens and trees of the Hilton Property. Since the location is little bit far away from the center of tourist destination, we used taxis to go out and to come back.

Room Tip: If you want to have a nice view of the city, book a room on higher floors, e.g. the same floor as th...

The hotel is not in city center. I find this to be very desirable as it's location is so quiet with beautiful grounds. They have a great shuttle that runs throughout the day. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and if you can snag a room that overlooks the Vatican, absolutely magical especially in the evening. They have a wonderful lounge for executive level rooms with wonderful food and drink throughout the day and evening. The staff have a can-do attitude. Highly recommended!

Stayed 3 nights in August - and wish it could have been longer. I was concerned when we first arrived as we were treated rudely (our rental car was not a Ferrari). Before we could get the back open for our luggage we were told to "hurry up an move". Luckily that stopped when we walked in the hotel - front desk, concierge and housekeeping were very accommodating. We were never made to feel fully welcome when entering the hotel.

The room was what you'd expect of a hotel of this caliber but I really enjoyed the large balcony with live music by the pool every evening and the pillows. If for some reason you didn't like any of the wide variety of pillows on the bed they have a pillow menu available. With the metal enclosure for the patio doors and large mirror barrier beyond the front door we had a completely dark and quite room. If you use these be sure to put in a wake-up call - we overslept and missed a morning tour.

Breakfast was wonderful. If you think there's one thing that they don't have, keep going...we didn't discover the 2nd room of food until the 2nd day. It does take a while to get a drink - or just about anything from a server though.

As a Diamond member I was given full access to the hotel, if you know what the word budget means and you're not hhonors Gold or Diamond, watch for all of the little (and not so little) charges added on. Lounges also have nice views and are fully stocked.

The Views, Food, Pools, Spa and Lounges were spectacular.

Room Tip: Odd number rooms have a city or garden view. If you're not above the 3-4 floor the trees will b...

I stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend in early September, 2011. The hotel itself is beautiful - the lobby, restaurants, pool, grounds, and rooms are amazingly decorated and comfortable. A member of our party of 5 is a Hilton HHonors Diamond-level member so we used points to book our rooms and this gave us access to the pool, gym, spa, and a lounge which otherwise would all have extra fees. The hotel is on a hill across the Tiber from downtown Rome so it has an awesome view of the city, particularly from the 3-Michelin star restaurant on the 9th floor, La Pergola. The one disadvantage of this location is that there is not much within walking distance. Cabs come often and they have a shuttle that takes you to the Piazza Barberini but the shuttle is pretty small and stops running after 8pm. When we returned one afternoon the driver had to leave a few people behind, and their options were to wait an hour or take a cab (which should be about 15-20 Euro). When we left to go to the airport they had a car service readily available that charged a flat fee of 50 Euro which was really nice and convenient. The staff were great and helpful and the hotel itself was pretty but if/when I return to Rome I probably would try to get a hotel downtown.

Room Tip: If you can get a room on the city-side you'll have an amazing view. Otherwise you face a radio...
