Recently stayed here with my family in 2 rooms. This was our second stay here in a year and there was a marked drop in the level of service on this stay. The personnel seem to care a little less and gave off the distinct impression that we were a burden on them. It could be that this was due to several large groups staying in the hotel who were clearly more important to the staff than we were. As for the hotel it still continues to be a great oasis above Rome with good amenities etc however I will struggle to return for a third visit based solely on the general attitude of the staff.

The view of Rome from our balcony was spectacular, especially at night. The room was lush and larger than many apartments. Food in the restaurant was very good and the Imperial Club offers wonderful evening cocktails and tapas. The spa with indoor heated pool and jacuzzi was warm and welcoming, though somewhat restricted by private exercise classes. This is definitely not in the heart of the city, so getting to the historic sites requires a bit of time. If you are looking for luxury, this is your place.

Room Tip: Splurge on the Rome city view.

The minute you walk through the door of this property you are treated to the highest standards of service. the views of Rome from the accomodation are terrific.
We were celebrating a significant Birthday and the staff did everything they possibly could to look after us.
Breakfast next to the pool on a sunny morning for us was the perfect start before boarding the courtesy bus into the heart of Rome, then after a long day seeing all the sights retire to the piano bar for a relaxing drink and listen to the evenings entertainment.
this Hotel is by far the best property I have stayed in to date, When I return to Rome (and I certainly plan on that) I will have no hesitation in staying here again.

This hotel is not a good base for sightseeing. It is fabulous if you are working, or looking for a place to decompress. Service is amazing, although it pays to speak a little Italian to avoid misunderstandings. Staff tries, and mostly succeeds at being responsive. I had a no smoking room, clearly labeled as such on the door, so not sure about complaints elsewhere in these reviews. Restaurants are very good. Rooms are huge and well appointed. Lobby decor is a combination art museum/airport concourse. The bar, patio, pool and spa are excellent but not high-tech. Worth the price if you want an escape from Rome.

Room Tip: Book a room on the side away from the hotel entrance.

Stayed 4 nights.
Sits on 18 Acres, with huge swimming pools, tennis courts, and Spa. Wonderful views of Rome. Service was top-notch, with a most helpful Concierge desk.
The Hotel is a taxi ride from the tourist attractions, but if you really want to relax and kick back,
this is the only place in Rome
We are looking forward to returning to this property next time we are in Rome.
