I have stayed in Rome Cavalieri many times for multiple years. I have never been disappointed. Always first class service, food from hotel is great, most importantly the rooms are luxurious and impeccable. Unlike most, the only thing in my opinion that is absolutely over-rated and over-priced is La Pergola, Heinz Beck's famed uber-hyped restaurant with the terrace. I always stay in rooms with the city view, sometimes I can even see the dome of San Pietro. It is pricy, if you have ever spent time in these rooms you will understand. Best hotel spa with an indoor pool and much more. The outdoor pool surrounded by foliage is great for Roman summers. For all seasons, you can hear the birds close-by, once in a while when the wind blows the police siren from The Eternal City below. My last stay was my favourite stay with many more reasons to name.

This was our 5th stay at the Cavalieri. We used Hilton points...a lot of points to stay for 5 days. We were, once again, not disappointed.

We requested a nonsmoking room in our reservation but were placed in a smoking room. A call to the front desk took care of the problem and the bell staff moved our luggage to the new room while we were sightseeing.

We had a luxurious room with a magnificent view of Rome on the Imperial Lounge floor. We paid 90€ In addition to the points for the room on the Imperial floor. Let me just say....we love the lounge and its wonderful food and beverages throughout the day. Breakfast is especially good. We always meet interesting people and enjoy unwinding in the evening with a few glasses of wine and the twinkling lights of Rome before us. If you can afford it...stay on an imperial floor.

We used room service for dinner a few times as we were too tired from exploring to go out. It was very good and always arrived promptly.

Wifi was free as a Hilton gold member...as were the inside pool, outside pool and fitness center. We used the free shuttle to get to piazza barberini and walked all over the city. We also used Uber to get to Ostia Antica for a half day of exploration. No Uber available for ride back. Took a cab.

We walked around the city for hours and hours each day. It was wonderful to get back to the Cavalieri at the end of the day. It was like a sanctuary away from all of the hustle and bustle. Perfetto! The hotel is not in the center, but rather in the Monte Mario neighborhood. You do need to take a shuttle ride or can to get to the center. But, for us, we didn't mind because we loved the Cavalieri so much!

at these prices, it should be. The rooms are all large, extremely well-furnished, with terraces. The hotel structure is showing some age, but the quality of the art throughout the hotel adds luster. And the views of the city--stupendous! Location is still in the city, but removed from the hustle and bustle. Hotel has a free shuttle bus to the center of town, which is very handy. Only complaint is that some services which should be free to guests--pool, for example, maybe Internet (for non HHonors) have charges, and those are very high. This on top of premium room rates--it's really just for those for whom money is no object.

Beautiful, CLEAN, hotel. Great customer service and great food even though it is pricey. They allowed us to check in at 8 a.m. with no additional charges. The hotel is located about 20 minutes from the heart of Rome. Make reservations to eat at the restaurant on the top floor as it is one of the best restaurants in all of Rome. The complimentary shuttle was great and takes you directly into town. In the same plaza where you get dropped off, is a stop for one of the sightseeing buses
(I highly recommend taking it). This way you can ride around the city as much as you would like for one flat rate per day and the bus stops at all the important sites...but most importantly it takes you back to the plaza where the hotel shuttle drops off and picks up, therefore you can save money on cab rides. Wifi is a rip off at the hotel so be prepared, I think it is 35 euros a day. I will stay here again.
