This hotel exceeded my expectations. From the reception desk, to my personal & badly needed, soft slippers this was a five-star visit. The rooms will spoil the average traveler & the staff attends to your every need. I will definitely return to this property.

Room Tip: Bring lots of Euros.

I am a long time Hilton Diamond member and I love everything about this hotel.
- Service, from check in to room cleaning to waitstaff, was efficient and friendly
- Décor and art is unbelievable
- Clay tennis courts ... the hotel will provide racquets, balls, and shoes for a fee
- Views of Rome & Vatican are unmatched ... be sure to request a room facing the city
- Gym and spa meet expectations. The steam room is one of my favorites.
- La Pergola is worth the splurge for a 3 Michelin Star treat. I read somewhere to save the experience for the end of your trip because other dining pales by comparison ... this is absolutely true

The only downside is the distance to town. You will quickly get tired of paying $40-50EUR for roundtrips. With a little planning the free hotel shuttle along with subway, bus, and walking will get you where you need to be.

This hotel is expensive but worth it for special occasions. I suggest upgrading to Imperial Club for food, drinks and club access. This will help avoid many of the "a la carte" charges.

We booked a day tour through the hotel to Amalfi and Pompeii. Pompeii was worth it, Amalfi was not.

Room Tip: Face Rome and Imperial suite ... even if there is an upgrade charge. See photo of Rome and Vatican...

We recently spent 3 nights at the Rome Cavalleri while in Italy for our 25th anniversary. The hotel had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Our room had a gorgeous view of Rome with an incredible balcony. We opted for 3 nt pkg for a King Imperial room with view. The Imperial floor was great! This gave us access to the lounge with a delicious breakfast, light lunch, light dinner, and desserts, snacks and drinks throughout the day, in addition to access to the pool and spa. The workout facility is amazing; one of the best I've seen! The pool is huge and quite enjoyable. The room was quite comfortable and beautiful. The internet was only available in the lobby and lounge and the connection was unreliable. The fee for internet in room is 25 euros per day! At the price of the hotel, it should be complimentary in rooms as well. The concierge was very accommodating at helping us arrange a private tour prior to arrival. The casual restaurant by the pool was pricey but food was delicious. Our only hesitation to staying again is the distance from the sights. There is a shuttle to take you into the city but it is approx a 30 min drive to the city center, within walking distance of the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps. Or a taxi is approximately 10 euros.
Beware that taxis were difficult to get near the Vatican. There were plenty sitting idle but when we told them our hotel they said no. Not sure if it is too far out of their normal route or what the issue is, but we tried 4 taxis before one would agree to take us.

Room Tip: Pay up for the imperial floor. It's a good value.

This hotel is up there with the best I have ever visited. It is a beautiful luxury 5 star hotel that is impressive from the second you step out of the taxi. The staff all speak english, are friendly polite and very helpful. The pool is beautiful and such a great place to sit out to have breakfast, drinks, lounge around or take a dip, and the waiters accomodate your every wim. the bar has ever type of alcohol you desire my only grievance would be the high price of a soft drink, 9 euros for what equates to 330ml of diet coke seems very steep, but it is a top end hotel where you expect to pay high end prices, the complementary bar snack selection with each drink is a nice touch. The room we stayed in was a deleuxe premier rome view on the 6th floor, this is the best thing about this fabulous hotel, the views from your private balcony are incredible i would recommend to anyone to upgrade to this as it really adds to the entire unforgettable experience. The rooms are very special perfect in every way, very large beautifully presented with quality workmanship and the turn down service is top notch with many little touches adding to the overall experience. Anyone looking to celebrate or stay in absolute luxury i would recommend this hotel just expect to have to pay top end prices, we didnt eat at la pergola but having that restaurant with incredible views is extra special just expect to pay alot for the experience. I would absolutely go here again and will in 2 years when the trevi fountain is up and running again, such a shame it was closed. The shuttle bus service is superb and the driver so friendly and happy, it really adds to the whole experience, if you want to travel back late at night a taxi cost us 14 euros which is nothing.

Room Tip: upgrade to the 6th floor rome view room

This must be perhaps the 10th time me and my partner have stayed in Rome Cavalieri and once again everything was perfect from check in to check out. We felt like home and staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was overlooking pool area and I had the most amazing view of Vatican! Many thanks again to the front office manager and to all staff for making our stay so wonderful! We look forward to returning this week! Simply can't get enough of this pearl!

Set just on the edge of Rome, this hotel was perfect for us and our great friends. A regular complimentary minibus into the city was great but we used a taxi too. About 15 euros each way. Ideal oasis to rest up in luxury between our escorted tours to the Vatican and other sights.
Service was generally first class, although the service at breakfast could be sharpened up. Breakfast buffet was extensive and very impressive. I agree with some other reviews, we're really passing the time when we should be charged for wifi. Give it free and add a few euros to the room charge. I used it in the lobby where it was free anyway.
Rooms were first class. Even when there was a rush for taxis to get to the Rolling Stones concert at the Circus Maximus, the concierge coped perfectly. Well done chaps. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Waldorf is an absolute splendid stay at the top of the Roman hill. The hotel is lavish and well spaced with many places to walk around and explore, sun bathe, swim, eat, or simply relax with a few cocktails. The hotel overlooks all of Rome and has one of the most extraordinary views I've seen. The landscape with many icons in the distance including St Peter's Basilica is absolutely intense.
Our room was large, lavish and sophisticated. Neat little feature, there was a 2nd door (thick and insulated) that we could also close (in addition to the first) so that we can make noise all night long and not get in trouble.
This hotel had the nicest gym I've come across anywhere in Europe and the exalted spa was a perfect match. For those who like to mix pleasure with hard-core fitness, this gym is for you! The spa with its tranquility in combination with the Turkish bath was exhilarating and memorable.
I've saved the best part of the review for last ... the breakfast buffet! Hands down the single best hotel buffet I've had anywhere in the world. Endless choices of outstanding foods; many local, national and international, encompassing everything from sweets to sours, meats to sushi, eggs to imported exotics and more. The perfectly piquant array of food was absolutely phenomenal. I'm careful of what and how much I put in my body but I couldn't stop eating at this outrageously palatable, world-class buffet.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room on the highest possilbe floor so you can capture the magnificent view fr...
