hotel is not really far from centrum .
Upon arriving the conceriege was very kind
The room was perfect, the view was nice. Room smells like a flower.
If you didnt pay for dinner in advance just to know prices are a bit high in the restaurant.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice , dont need to pay extra for suit

We stayed just one night in the hotel and it was a very nice one,

- Helpfull polite & professional frontdesk / concierge / cashier staff
- Free membership to Hhonors (blue level) so you can enjoy easily 50% discount to SPA access
(10€ per person so if you are able to stay in this hotel this amount is ridiculous and you can enjoy the SPA and the fitness room)
To my mind with all the staff and service they provide it is really acceptable to pay for the SPA

Perfect Bar with a great romantic atmosphere
Full Buffet breakfast with great smoked salmon, various eggs cooking, fast service also in rush period

Deluxe room with rome view is perfect and comfortable !

Free shuttle very useful if you want to visit the city center at your convenience (you will receive the pick up time at the check-in !! a must have)

I would higly recommend this beautiful hotel !

Room Tip: Rome view Mandatory !!!

This hotel is beautiful, the grounds are lovely and everything is clean. The reception staff and door men were great, however the rest of the experience was quite disappointing. The hotel is pretty far from the main stuff, which we thought would be nice but we ended up feeling stranded. There is a free shuttle that runs all day but it drops you off in Barberini Square which, if it's your first time in Rome, is insane. Google maps and these crazy streets do not mix. The best way to describe the vibe at this hotel is pretentious, there is an illusion of exclusivity that just put a bad taste in my mouth. We did not feel welcomed, not to mention the outrageous prices of everything. For example, our first night we ate at the hotel's restaurant. Very pretty but I got clams and linguine for 33 euro and the linguine was not fresh... came out of a box... in Italy. What the heck?! We would not stay here again, even if it were free. It just wasn't fun.

Room Tip: Opt for the city view if you choose to stay here, the view is good.

I have read your comments with attention and really regret that your first impression of our hotel was disappointing and if the welcome was not what you had hoped for.

At the Rome Cavalieri all Team Members are passionate about delivering first class service even though your disappointment show up that we are not strong enough and we need to focus on guests’ needs constantly and ensure that guests leave the hotel more than fully satisfied, taking away only pleasant memories.

Looking forward to welcoming you back to the Rome Cavalieri and regain your confidence to Hilton Worldwide properties. I remain at your disposal for any assistance you may require whenever your travel plans bring again to Rome.

Upon arriving the conceriege was very kind, checking in the gentleman was a little short. The room was nice, the view was nice. However, pulling up to the hotel it appears very dirty like, is this really it? The food was absolutely miserable, and it wasn't good at all. The pool area also smelled. I absolutely am in disbelief its regarded as such a high end restaurant. I honestly would not eat there again if you paid me.

We stayed at this beautiful location for 5 days to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in a king deluxe room on the 4th floor.
Upon arrival our room wasn't ready so we took advantage of the free shuttle bus into Rome to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps which are in easy walking distance of the drop off point. We then caught the shuttle back to the hotel where our room was ready and baggage waiting for us inside.

Great room with view of part of Rome but not the pool as requested 2 months previously as explained by staff that we were only having a short break and none available???

Great variety at breakfast as you'd expect with fresh orange juice not to be missed, towels for the pool are free however there is acharge of 18 euro per person for the bed which can add up if you're in a large group or staying for longer periods.

The indoor pool is currently closed and under refurbushment but so also is the Trevi fountain surrounded by scaffold and restoration work being undertaken at Spanish Steps.

Taxi from the centre of Rome to the hotel if approx 12 euro but be careful after 10 pm as there are taxi drivers who will try and charge you 35 euro. The difference in rates is only 3 euro and you should be able to return at night after 10 pm for approx 15 euro(we did this twice)

We'd love to return to the hotel and hopefully will as this is the most relaxing City Break we have had with the pool being a real bonus, and the ambience and decoration not to be missed.

Tip for your trip

Don't forget your sun hat and trainers as theres lots of walking temperature last week over 30 every day!!

After a 12 day cruise we ended up our Italian vacation at the Rome Cavalieri. We chose this hotel in part because of our Hilton HHonors membership and wanting to end on our trip with a great experience. The Hotel's renovation has certainly created a first class hotel. The rooms were of ample size (compared to the Excelsior which I had previously stayed) and the amenities were as expected. The heated towels, robes, slippers, etc. were what you would expect at a first class hotel.

The shuttle to Piazza Barbarini was convenient but doesn't run late enough, and we saw folks who were left stranded when the last shuttle was filled to capacity. If you going to take the last shuttle which is 9 PM, you better be on line 20 minutes ahead of time to guarantee a spot. I don't understand why they don't run the shuttle past 9, given how late European dinners tend to be.

Another disappointment is the absence of restaurant which serves standard fare. The only option for something less than a full course meal is the bar which doesn't have seating conducive to having a family meal.

Be prepared to spend richly as you might expect at the Waldorf. However 9 euros for a lemonade exceeded even my idea of richly. We spent over 200 euros for 7 of us and all we had was pizza and soft drinks -- no liquor or wine.

The pools are wonderful, and the chaise lounges with their sumptuous pads were sublime.

The service was also a bit spotty. Check in was slow and abysmal for a Waldorf. Our luggage was delivered to the wrong rooms (we had 4 rooms for our party), although the hotel made it right by including free breakfast vouchers for our stay. The breakfast buffet is as you would expect first class. A wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, eggs, etc. along with champagne provide a compelling reason to get up in the morning!

One other down side to the location, is the absence of other restaurants and bars within a short walking distance. The hotel is in a largely residential neighborhood.

Given the great choices in Rome, this hotel is certainly worthy of being a top contender but I do think there are still some things they an improve upon.

What a magnificent hotel. We are Hilton Diamond members, and the management definitely takes care of their Hilton Honors customers. Any room at this property is gorgeous. So you can imagine our surprise when our manager called our second day to show us several options for even more special views of the city. The staff and restaurants almost make one wonder why to bother venturing into the city. Thank you, Roberto, for making this such a memorable experience!! Ted & Debbie Hoover
