We had a very good time in September at this B&B. The staff is very kind and helpful and the breakfast is very nice. You can have it on the terrace when the weather is good. You can go to downtown easily by bus and Paganini Park is a good place to chill out. Greetings from Hungary!

This very pleasant B&B has it all - spotless and well presented rooms with en-suites, a well appointed kitchen, a most helpful Milam to greet and guide you and make wonderful breakfasts in the lovely but small paved garden. On one morning we needed an early start, and Milam accommodated this with friendliness and delightfulness. Transport to the city is close by and by bus or tram. It is in a delightful part of Rome, quieter and with bird noises on waking. There are three bedrooms, two have smaller bathrooms and showers, quite adequate for the normal sized person but would be a struggle if you are large. The third bathroom is much bigger.

What a find! We couldn't have been more pleased with our wonderful escape from the city crowds. This Villa is just East of the city center and the neighborhood is full of great shops and restaurants with easy access to public transportation. The property is owned by a lovely family who lives upstairs and is managed by Nilam, a native of Sri Lanka. Each morning he prepares breakfast complete with fresh flowers, fruit and pastries along with a variety of beverages. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a lovely area for outdoor dining and relaxation. we definitely lucked out when we found this little gem! I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Rome.

Very nice, friendly and quiet place in the middle of the city. It's so easy to get to the center, yet you might just as well stay put for a while and enjoy the beautiful garden. The hosts are adorable.

We were welcomed by Nilam, the extremely nice and supportive man from Sri Lanka who took care of everything. He is the heart of the B&B. Mother Antonella and son Filippo run this excellent place in a beautiful place near park Villa Paganini. This is a great way to start your day after you enjoyed the marvellous breakfast of Nilam.
Rooms were perfectly clean and well equiped, huge bathroom and free Wifi. In the garden you can enjoy the silence of this area and listen to the birds whistle.
The place is just 10 minutes away from the centre with the bus which you can catch at the Via Numentana. Metro is also a 10 minute walk to station Policlinico. On your way you can walk through the Park Villa Torlonia which is probably the most beautiful in Rome with a lot of palms, space and some very nice houses.
Antonella, Nilam and Filippo, thank you again very much for letting us stay here.
Love,
Paul, Lianne, Hans and Tet, Holland

If I return to Rome, which I hope to, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The neighborhood is wonderful and safe. Very convenient to city center and sites but just far enough to have some breathing room. In the day, we walked or took the metro. The bus is easy too, we just never took the time to figure out the numbers or schedule. At night, we took a cab back for from the city center (Trevi area) for around 9 euros - very reasonable. The accommodations are quiet and you feel right at home and away all at the same time. There is a little kitchen and dining room for breakfast and evening snack and tea. The rooms and adjoining baths are super clean and modern. Best of all though is Nilam, the resident caretaker and greeter. He was so warm and friendly. He had breakfast ready each morning for us and was there with whatever we needed - to call a cab, make a restaurant suggestion etc. The yard is beautiful with a brick terrace and grass lawn with orange trees. In the warmer months they serve breakfast outside, but it was too chilly during our stay. The dining room inside was perfect though. This is a great area for walking/jogging as there is a small park right next to B&B and lots of quieter streets with sidewalks. The only thing I would say that could be a negative, and a small one at that, is that the shower is on the small side. This didn't bother me or my sister one bit, but you should be advised if this is a possible issue for you.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with twin beds. They were incredibly comfortable with a fantastic king sized pi...

I was a bit nervous staying a little outside the city on my own, but I really needn't have worried. Villa Paganini is home from home. It's clean, warm (i stayed in Feb but there is a/c during summer), and very safe.

i got a taxi from the station. If you do this, barter them down, they were going to charge €30 and I managed to get them to €20. I knew from previous reviews that this was still too much but I just wanted to get settled after a long flight. Nilam advised it should only cost about €10. If I was staying again, which i defiantely would, I would simply take the 90 or 60L bus from outside the train station and get off at Nomentane Trieste... Names are clearly marked on bus stop shelter. Ceoss over the road and walk up through the little park, about 5 mins max.

The Villa itself is clean, cosy, safe, quiet and private. Nilam the sweet little Sri Lankan host couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was fresh croissants, "toasts", biscuits, feral, yoghurt and every delicious variety of home made preserve you can think of. Endless coffee, juices and cheese and ham toasties. Nilam will make you something with eggs if you ask. Whilst tea and coffee making facilities are not in your room, it really didn't matter... I preferred popping through to the little kitchen to help myself to be honest, fresh cold milk in the fridge! The "help yourself" fresh fruit bowl was nice little touch. Given the time of year I didn't eat breakfast in the garden, but it does look lovely and I can imagine not wanting to leave for the busy streets of Rome some days....

Decent size room, comfy bed, a little table and two chairs for planning your next route on the map... All in all, excellent value. Thank you.
