This is a very nice place to spent time. You can enjoy your drink while looking around with flowers around. Calm place, wonderful ancient buildings and statue, you can hear that roman army is staying somewhere so close toy you. Also so central inside the wall area. In the nights, it is also very popular place to have drink and listening music.Enjoy..

“If you know some history, you'll love this place”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

We visited this twice. First time was at night, we were with a tour group learning of the dark parts of Rome and so it was fitting to start at the statue of Bruno.... I can see how some people would fine this place overrated (I read some reviews) but if you take time to know the history of this place, it is fascinating. Not only is it the only Piazza without a church.... it is the location of the older Flower Market!
We went back in the morning the following day and it was a bustling place with the flower market still in the same spot as before and many other vendors selling, pastas, touristy knick knacks, coffee accessories and so much more. We actually ate on a side street where I had the BEST Tiramisu of the trip ( I tried it every place we ate so this is saying something.) This area is very interesting, small and enjoyable... take the time to learn about the areas you visit and you will find them all the more fascinating and worth visiting. Like I said, we went back on our own after the tour... loved this place.

We went there in the evening to check out the place and try a restaurant there. Was very disappointed and didn't find it appealing, just a square with bars and restaurants around it. We dined at one of the restaurants in the square which wasn't great either. I didn't even take any pictures of the area because there are much prettier squares in Rome than this! Walked out of the square and it looked rough and unsafe with some drunk people around so we didn't hang around there for long, going to the beautiful, friendlier and safer Piazza Navona!

Definitely a miss, totally overrated and nothing worth seeing.

“Nice area with many good restaurants”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

We found many nice restaurants in small streets around this area that have good food and good price. The market is fun at night and colorful in the morning for pictures taking.

“Look past the touristy weeds and you'll see Rome's field of Flowers”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful city, and stayed just a stones throw from the main square. It's really got something for everyone, just ignore those pesky street vendors and the restaurants that cater to tourists. Find the places the locals frequent. This was our first visit, and we quickly learned that Campo De Fiori has many non-touristy places. Just off the main square you'll find restaurants that don't serve dinner until 7pm, since locals eat dinner at eight. There is also a Gelato shop that is listed on many websites as one of Rome's best, hint it isn't Blue Ice; the BK of Gelato. There's an Italian bakery as you enter on the south that always had a line out the door. There are too many places to mention, you just need to look a little, you'll be glad you did.
