Went here thinking I was going to see something impressive and got barely anything to see but a bunch of grass and a few columns.

There isn't much left of the original construction, however there is a lot of history around its trials and tribulations leading up to its current condition. Looks like they are doing some sort of work there now so not sure what the plans are. Also good if you want to do a morning jog on history filled dirt. Anyhow take a lap around and use your imagination to take yourself back in time...

We passed by Circus Maximus while having our city sightseeing tour, and frankly it wasn't that interesting.
We didn't even consider going on this stop not to waste 30 min.
I do believe that this place holds a very historical meaning; but for now; i believe it will be much more interesting in a movie.

Other wise this is a waste of a walk, as it looks nothing like the arena it was. It was used for chariot racing, and now is just trash and grass.

This is far more than a green hole in the ground. The history and things that took place at this site are amazing. They are working on uncovering the site and making some renovations so soon it will possibly be open. With Palatine Hill as a back drop to this place you will have to use a little of your imagination to come close to the understanding what this place probably looked like in its day. Well worth the walk by. Right next to Palatine Hill and just up the road from the Mouth of Truth. Rome should be explored on foot as every corner will reveal something spectacular!
