This was one of the most beautifully located hotels we'd ever stayed at. It is in the same plaza with the Pantheon and there is a tangible magical feel about the place. From our balcony, I felt as if I were back in ancient Rome, the historical beauty of the plaza overwhelming. The staff were all extremely friendly, helping with any of our needs and recommending restaurants. Luckily, the November weather in Rome was very pleasant and the rooftop bar was open. The drinks aren't cheap, but the bartender Michele was delightful company. He told us many stories and was of great service, even making my sister a miniature chair out of champagne toppers. The view from the rooftop is unlike anything else, just magical. A great musician plays in the plaza in the evenings and it adds another layer of charm. As Americans, we'd been struggling with Italian's version of breakfast for our entire visit, so it was a relief to find a wonderful included breakfast with our stay. The rooms varied (we had three rooms with our group) with the 6th floor balcony room being the nicest. The walls were covered in a lush fabric, the entire room well designed, and not to mention the breathtaking view from the balcony of the Pantheon and the plaza. When I visit Rome again, there is no question to where I will be staying. Highly, highly recommended!

Room Tip: Balcony rooms aren't loud once the doors are shut, so don't shy away from them, as they are spectacular.

We stayed at the end of October this year and the weather was superb. It was uncharacteristically warm. The roof bar was open. Spectacular views and excellent service from a very experienced bar manager. The reception staff were superb and we will visit again. What a great location!

Spent total of 4 nights here. Loved the place within an arms reach (almost) of the Pantheon. But more amazing is the location in relation to the rest of the historic centre of Rome. The Piazza della Rotonda was busy most of the day and night but we could not hear anything once our balcony door was closed. Yes! we had a balcony onto the square on the 6th floor and it was amazing. Service at the hotel was friendly and efficient but not overly excessive. Breakfast was more than adequate and enough to give you a good start to the day. Room size smaller than at the Hotel Artemide but this is a much more central location. We were able to leave our luggage here in storage whilst we made a 3 night jaunt to Venice.
Loved it and we will be back!

Stayed at the Albergo del Senato several times which says a lot. My husband comes from Rome so we used to be regular visitors and have stayed in many of Rome's Hotels, the most recent the Alberto del Senato. Being 'locals' and particular, we always expected 'over and above' and at this hotel, they never failed us. Charming hotel and extremely helpful and professional staff. We have never had a bad hotel experience in Rome but we liked this one particularly as it was in walking distance of many of Rome's wonderful sights, shops and restaurants. As for the 'aromas' walking around from the coffee bars, restaurants and trattorie!!!!!mmmmmmm. I adore Rome the Eternal City and was lucky enough to go two or three times every year for nearly 40 years. Would certainly recommend the Albergo Del Senato and as already pointed out the roof top patio does have some beautiful views.

stayed on a 3 three night break lovely room 206 overlooking the pantheon with green fabric damask padded walls and co/ordinating enormous swagged draped windows which were dressed by the maid twice a day lovely comfortable bed I asked for another pillow and chose the density and of course it was made up on our bed when we returned Breakfast was peaceful and well replenished all in all i cannot find fault with anything.
